Chapter 277 Sketched Property
As Lucia drifted down from the sky, Aleshia caught her from the air. Moments later, a strong gust of wind swept past. While Aleshia paid it no mind, Lucia found it suspicious. Before she could voice her concerns, Aleshia asked her a question. "Did you find any clues from up there?"
Lucia set aside her thoughts about the wind and replied, "Yes, just a little further ahead, there seems to be a gap in the hedges. However, I suspect it will take some time to reach it, considering the distance." Suddenly, an idea struck her, and she asked to take control of Aleshia's body.
Aleshia granted her request and allowed Lucia to take control. After she took control, Lucia searched for a long branch and began to sketch the rough layout of the property in a patch of dirt. When she finished the sketch, she drew a circle around their current location and marked a few more spots in different shapes that would lead to more answers.
In the meantime, the party had concluded its search and was returning to the meeting spot they had agreed upon before leaving. They seemed to notice Aleshia's antics and were approaching to ask about what she was doing. As they drew closer, they recognized the roughed-up dirt was a sketch of the property.
Liam was the first to speak up. "Hey Aleshia, is this the design of the property?" He continued with a suspicious tone, "How could you know what this place looks like and draw an overview of it despite being here for the first time? Also, what do these symbols represent?"
Cecelia chimed in, "Look, isn't this where we are right now? But what would the other shapes represent?"
The group crowded around the map, each of them making their own observations. It seemed that, aside from Liam's question, they weren't inclined to ask Aleshia anything else. They appeared determined to figure things out on their own.
Lucia surreptitiously released Aleshia's body, which went limp for a brief moment before Aleshia regained control. The rest of the group was so engrossed in studying the map that they didn't notice the change in Aleshia at all.
Aleshia started to explain the meaning of it, but soon realized that the group preferred to figure it out themselves. She decided to allow them to discover the information independently. It also seemed like a good chance for them to study the property without having to explore the entire area, although they appeared capable of covering about half of it on their own.
