I woke with a start to a comfortable soft feel. While blinking with sleepy eyes I remembered Teine was sleeping beside me. Peaceful sleeping breaths came from above my head. When I pulled my face from the soft chest the surroundings were dim. No… was I wrapped in wings?
I had thought it was dim, then a little blue light was coming in. Looking well I was wrapped in Teine's wings. No one would even think they could get a fairy-tale sleep beside like this. Teine's maternal feeling like protecting her own child would really ruin me. I had been told wings were formed from magic power, but there was the feel of wings on my back and I was surprised.
I could not get out like this, and waking Teine felt too pitiful… while I was stuck someone suddenly stroked the back of my head. I turned my face toward Teine. She narrowed her eyes and put on a glossy smile like I was precious. Being looked at with those eyes was embarrassing so I hid my face in Teine's chest.
