I took a nap at the clinic waking up few minutes before School ends.
"feeling better" Daniel asked as I sat up and I gave a slight nod.
"quite better" I muttered groggily. "I'll leave now" I walked towards the door before making my way to my class just in time to see the biology teacher walk out.
"I am quite lucky" I couldn't help chuckling
Perhaps he heard my chuckle, Mr Edward turned his gaze towards me.
"skipped class again?"
"I wasn't feeling well"
"another excuse Charlotte" he spoke with disdain "your grades are one of the worst and you skip your classes. The college entrance examination is coming up and you haven't improved a bit, always lagging behind. Your parents really enjoy wasting their money on someone like you who can never improve"
I waited for him to end his speech my pinky finger unconsciously cleaning my ear.
I watched Mr Edward explode in anger "what? now I am being disrespected for advising you"
Now I was confused, did I do something wrong? I couldn't help pondering
"come with me to the principal's office" he walked past me angrily while I let out an helpless sigh.
This day wasn't getting any better for me.
I followed behind. Halting in my steps, I overheard Mr Edward complaining to the principal and I couldn't help rolling my eyes in annoyance. Knocking on the door, I heard the principal say "come in" before I walked in.
I could feel their eyes on me but I wasn't fazed as it was normal to be invited to the principal's office.
I remained calm
"another complaint" he was obviously talking to me. "invite your parents to school tomorrow, we need to talk" he glared at me and I didn't speak.
My parents
My dad doesn't care, I haven't met my mom and my brother wasn't in the country.
I just gave a curt nod with a wry smile before walking towards my class in a bad mood.
"Sister" Marilyn called out behind me and I halted in my steps annoyed and irritated. She hurried towards me stopping few steps away from me.
"what?"
" Dad is waiting for you at the school gate" she spoke moving a little closer. Her voice smug but came out as a whisper " I guess he found out about what happened today"
I shot her a glare walking away.
"he's mad at you and his illness can be triggered, sister even if you don't care, he's still your father after all, can you be filial?" she shouted behind me attracting the attention of students around.
