"You aren't wrong," said Kurayama, "Thank the goddess we don't have to go on any cliché anime training arcs screaming, Believe it!" Kurayama cringed at the idea, which caused the other two to nod, a serious look on their face.
"I'm sure Akira is already past his little 'if I try hard enough, I can go s*per sa*yan' phase," teased Tatsuya, as Akira cringed at his past self, trying his damndest to achieve power beyond mortal comprehension, "I'm glad he did, he would have popped a blood vessel or something," said Kurayama as he slightly shook his head.
"Ahem, anyways" said Akira in response to his friends' teases, "It's getting pretty late, we should probably head out," Akira then stood and motioned towards the alarm clock on Kurayama's nightstand, it being almost ten pm, the three decided to part ways and get some sleep, not fulling knowing what their future had in store for them.
"Head on without me, gotta take care of a few things," said Tatsuya, as he took the plastic container given to him by Mahiru and headed to her apartment to drop it off, "Yeah sure man, hope you sleep well," said Akira in response, not bothering to question what Tatsuya was up to, the practice with Aomine weighing heavily on his body.
Tatsuya had barely reached Mahiru's front door before he remembered it was too late, and the girl was probably already sleeping, 'I don't know when I'll see her next, what to do' he asked himself, before he thought of a plan, heading back into his apartment that was right across Mahiru's, he swiftly pulled out a piece of paper and pen, writing a thank you note and taping it onto the container's lid, 'That ought to do it,' thought Tatsuya.
Leaving the container in front of Mahiru's door, he went back into his own apartment and finally laid in bed lost in thought, the conversation with Koro-sensei still fresh in his mind, 'The people backing Asano are somehow involved in my parents' death, huh?' thought Tatsuya, recalling his teachers' words.
~Flashback~
"Before you go, I have one final thing to say to you," Said Koro-sensei, having just finished convincing Tatsuya to join his cause, "I'm listening," responded Tatsuya, curious as to what his teacher could have left to say.
"I don't really know how to sugar coat this, so I simply won't" Koro-sensei explained, "I have reason to believe, that the people currently backing Asano, the people behind him becoming the current headmaster, are the group that are somehow involved with your parents' death," Koro-sensei said, dropping the bombshell on Tatsuya, causing him to freeze in his current position, his cup of coffee hanging in the air, "W-what did you say?" he asked, as fragmented memories slowly started entering his mind, memories of a car crash he had been in with his parents on the way home from a night out, a crash of which neither of his parents were able to survive, "What are you saying, Koro-sensei? From what I can remember we were hit by some drunk driver," said Tatsuya.
"Yeah, that's the story the media ended up telling but…" Responded Koro-sensei, pausing mid-sentence trying to find the right words to continue with, "Listen, like I said at the start of our conversation today, there is a lot going on in this world, some things that you and the public are simply never going to find out, I personally do not have the answers to your questions, the one that does is Asano," continued Koro-sensei as he slowly explained all that was happening, "If we want a concrete answer as to what actually happened to your parents, we need to knock him down a notch, only then will he be more willing to answer our questions."
After Koro-sensei finished, Tatsuya could only sit there in silence, slowly processing what he had just been told, 'but, there's no way someone would put a hit out on my parents… right?' Tatsuya asked himself, denying anything malicious happening to his parents, 'I doubt Koro-sensei would lie about something like this, if I remember correctly, he was close to my father himself.'
"A-are you sure about this? That Asano has answers, I mean" asked Tatsuya after a few moments of silence, 'If Asano does have the answers I'm looking for, all the more reason to take him down.'
"I would never lie about this, Tatsuya" said Koro-sensei, his playful demeaner having vanished, "That man knows something, and I will not sleep soundly until he spills all that he knows."
"Alright, I'll keep that in mind" said Tatsuya, "Our first order of business is to actually enroll into Shuchi'in, only then can our plan fully start," he continued.
"Of course, but don't worry about that, I'll make sure you three are able to get in, just make sure you actually attend, Tatsuya." Said Koro-sensei, a teasing grin on his face as his playful nature finally made a comeback, "None of this skipping class nonsense, Asano would surely expel you."
"Yeah, yeah," Responded Tatsuya, waving his hand in dismissal, "I'll be sure to send you all the information you're gonna need at a later date, after that all you're going to have to do is talk to your other two friends, we can't have them not knowing what they're going to be walking into after all." Said Koro-sensei, advising Tatsuya to be open with his friends.
"Yeah, I'll fill them in. Don't worry," said Tatsuya, nodding his head at the idea
"Well, I don't know about you, but I need a nap." Continued Tatsuya, before his teacher could reveal yet another piece of groundbreaking news, stretching his arms slightly above his head and stifling a yawn.
~End flashback~
'Better not to tell the others about that though…' Thought Tatsuya, "I'm sure Koro-sensei wouldn't let us walk into anything life threatening." Said Tatsuya out loud, reassured by his teachers' overprotective nature, especially when it came to his students, or anyone defenseless to be honest.
Slowly Tatsuya shut his eyes, before finally falling asleep, the weight of it all being too much for him to even want to stay awake, Tatsuya would rather sleep his problems away after all.
