Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 – First Day at School-2

The school cafeteria was on the ground floor of the building and overlooked the backyard. Students who wished could rest in the backyard and take light walks after eating their meals. As they were heading towards the dining hall, Demir was looking to his right and left carefully,

- Durualp, don't you think this school is a little quiet? It's like there are no students other than us. We looked into many classrooms, but they were all empty. Do you know anything about this?

- I don't know either. We received a special invitation from the academy. And my family sent me to school without waiting. That's why I can't claim to have more knowledge than you.

- How come. You seem to know the school very well. Look, we made it to the cafeteria without making any mistakes.

Durualp, ashamed like a caught criminal, did not know how to explain the situation. He was an expert in direction finding since he was little. He was a natural wayfinder, but even he didn't know how he did it.

He had no intention of telling anyone about his talent, so he quietly walked towards where the bain-marie was. Both together they got their food and sat at one of the tables by the window of the already empty dining hall.

Demir and Durualp were so engrossed in eating that they did not notice Tauriel was there with the food in her hand. Finally inviting Tauriel to the table, the duo encountered Eiderd's disdainful gaze. They also invited Eiderd, but he did not come.

Eiderd muttered to himself. "I told these leeches not to come close to me, but they immediately appeared right next to me. Damn...While I thought I would find friends in from royal family, I ended up in the same class as these common people. Pity me. There is not even a noble among them. The more I stay away from these, the better," he said and he sat down at another table away from the common crowd...

After a while, elegantly dressed and noble-looking middle-aged man brought food to Eiderd. While Eiderd was enjoying his meal, he did not know that Demir was looking at him.

- I think he is sick. Look they separated his food. That person in the registration area brought him food.

Turning to look at Demir's observation, Durualp and Tauriel laughed heartily. Laughing until his eyes were filled with tears, Durualp's irregular movements caused the spoon and fork to fall off the table.

Raising his head to the noise, Eiderd was thankful that he was not with these vulgar and disgusting creatures...

Durualp collected himself and those who had fallen, and calmly sat down in his seat,

- The name of the person bringing the food is Geray. Eiderd's steward. Responsible for Eiderd's care and needs. Apparently, Eiderd had special meals prepared for himself because he didn't like the food here.

Demir, who first looked towards Eiderd, now turned his gaze towards Durualp.

- You say you're new come, but it seems to me like you know everything,

- I don't know how to explain it now... My mother was very worried that for I would go to the academy alone. That's why he insisted that I travel with Tauriel. Since Turiel was going with Eiderd, the three of us somehow gathered together. And came here under the guidance of the steward Geray. That's why I know the butler Geray...

Tuariel immediately jumped in and started talking about the journey and didn't stop talking throughout the lunch break. When the lunch break ended and the children entered the classroom, the classroom bell had just rang.

While the children were taking their seats, teacher Ayla entered the classroom. She sat at her desk and made some edits on her tablet. He stood up when the images on his tablet appeared holographically in front of his desk.

Teacher Ayla reached out her hand and caught the hologram, which was her own height, and brought the hologram to the middle of the classroom so that it could be seen clearly. When she saw that the children were paying attention to the blue planet revolving next to her, she began her speech,

- What is existence?... Existence is not what something is, how it is, why it is, where it is, when it is... Existence is the fact that something exists. For whatever reason, it exists now and that's a fact…

Teacher Ayla paused for a moment and continued, ignoring the blank looks of the children,

- What is nature?... Nature is the whole consisting of living and inanimate objects that constantly renews itself and changes when necessary... Everything from streams to oceans, mountains to forests, living and inanimate beings is a part of nature... Watch now and some of the things Try to realize…

When teacher Ayla finished her speech, she stretched out her hand and enlarged the hologram twice as large. As he walked towards the student desks and sat down in one of the back rows, the images in the hologram began to show the natural beauties of the world.

As the world rotates, glaciers, snowy mountains, forests, seas, volcanoes preparing to erupt... The blue world was shown in the hologram with all the creatures living on and in it. This show continued like a documentary for about thirty minutes. Finally, the hologram was fixed on a pristine volcanic island.

Teacher Ayla came to the hologram and continued her speech,

- Nature consists of two basic elements. The first of these is matter, the other is energy. All living and non-living beings that occupy large or small spaces in nature and have their own actions are within the scope of matter. In addition, all these substances must be in motion and undergo transformation. What is needed for this is energy. All of these coming together in perfect harmony constitute nature.

Pausing for a moment and giving her students time to think, teacher Ayla continued,

- In all this perfection, there is a contradiction that disrupts the harmony. Can anyone tell me what it is?

She waited for a while, and when there was no reaction from the students, he extended his hand and rotated the hologram. She kept spinning it until the other side of the volcanic island came into view. A very large, reinforced concrete hotel appeared right at the bottom of the beach, with one large and two small cruise ships anchored at its pier.

It was obvious that all the trees around it had been cut down to make way for the entrance. Moreover the trees behind the hotel were cut down and a large golf course was built. All this angered the children, who found peace with the nature they had been watching for thirty minutes.

- Now you have an idea, right? These two-legged, thinking and self-improving creatures are disrupting the harmony in nature. So why? Why aren't they at whole with nature?

When teacher Ayla was about to continue the end bell rang. "Next lesson let's continue," she said and left the classroom.

Tauriel was the first to happen to the hologram that remained open. She zoomed in hologram and saw many people getting off the ship. She scrolled the hologram, the hotel pool was full of people. As she rotated the hologram, she saw people working, running, walking, sitting and lying down.

She morale was very broke down. After a while she got bored and moved the image away. She didn't stop until people were the size of tiny ants. When she reached the distance he wanted, she said "this is better" and left the hologram and went to his desk.

Durualp came in front of the hologram. Just as he was starting to zoom in on the image, the class bell rang again. After a while, teacher Ayla entered the classroom. The hologram on it own, returned to the position where the teacher Ayla had left her. Teacher Ayla, come and standing next to the hologram, continued her unfinished lesson.

- Yes, where were we last time, guys (when they saw Demir raising his hand) Yes, tell me, Demir,

- For people, "Why are they not in unity with nature?" you said, my teacher

- Yes, I remember now. Thank you Demir. (Then he turned to the hologram and showed children) Yes, why aren't these people in unity with nature?

Because ambition and greed have increased so much in their hearts that they have lost their connection with nature. They stopped respecting nature and chose to dominate it. Which is why they cannot integrate with nature.

Our Yıldız Academy will teach you how to become stronger in unity with nature. For this reason, you will thoroughly memorize the book in your hand, internalize it and understand it. How successful you will be depends on you…

For now, let's talk briefly about the good and bad feelings in people's hearts. We will examine all of these in detail as the course topics become available…

The first day of the academy was spent with explanations and general information acquisition. As they left school go their rooms, Demir, Durualp and Tauriel were reviewing the first day. Behind them, walking as if he had created the small hills, was Eiderd and his steward Geray. When they arrived at their living quarters, Durualp said goodbye to Demir,

- We're leaving here, see you later.

- Why? Aren't you living in the same dormitory as me?

- No, we are staying with Eiderd in one of the villas ahead. ?

- Ok then… I wish you a good evening…

Returning to his dormitory alone, Demir said, "It became clear why I didn't encounter anyone, I'm the only one staying here."…

...

The top floor of the Formal Education building, in Head Instructor Turan's room...

Head Instructor Turan, who looked with envy at teacher Ayla, who was cheerfully talking about her first day, wished for a moment that he was in teacher Ayla's place.

- Dear principal, I must tell you that he says "my teacher" so sincerely and kindly that I feel like I'm floating on clouds. You can be sure that I will do my best to help this kind child. My observation for the first day is that the child is respectful, polite and gentle…

- You talk as if you've never seen anyone say "My teacher" in your life.

- I don't remember who called me "my teacher" before. These students don't think anything of us, let alone calling us teachers. To them, we are just "the talking books" bought with money. It is nothing but fate that I met such a respectful and polite boy.

- !!

Teacher Ayla was smiling when she remembered Demir's words "my teacher". When she said quietly, "I'm looking forward to tomorrow," she met Head Instructor Turan's gaze.

- Looks like your first day went well. For this period, the first topic of the book will be covered. Let's hope everything is within our expectations. Keep working hard.

While teacher Ayla was leaving the room, Head Instructor Turan had finished writing the first day's notes. It was an uneventful first day, no problems were encountered, no blood was shed...

The 49th academic year was the bloodiest. There was a conflict between factions. The fight between the two hostile groups turned into a fight involving approximately 500 people, with the participation of their respective sects. This cannot be called a fight, it was almost a small-scale war.

When the fight ended approximately 3 hours later, there were nearly 250 dead. 80 of them were seriously injured and 140 were slightly injured. The academy administration was held responsible for the events that started at lunch time on the first day of school. But no matter how much they wanted to punish the academy, they did not have the power to do so.

It was none of the academy's business whether people who reached adulthood acted on their own decisions. Moreover, they disregarded the academy rules. That's why everyone who was involved in the fight and was over the age of 15 was expelled from the academy...

Remembering the old days, the light of Head Instructor Turan's fading eyes became bright again with a longing…
