Chapter 2 - 1 Disease

No one's POV:

The wind rustled through the night as a cold front slowly washed through the Golden Dragon Empire. A young woman is seen in front of a church with a bundle in her hand. It's been a few months since the marriage of the emperor and the empress and the death of the sickly second prince. The woman had light blonde hair with purple eyes. She said to the bundle, "You have to survive my baby...you're the only thing left of him..." The woman then falls due to the cold. The bundle begins to move, then it starts to cry loudly.

Shiro's POV:

It's been five years since I was transported to this novel by the novel Shiro. I don't know what town I'm in, but this is a modest church in a small village. Father Lennon is very kind to me; he is the person who found me in front of the church. The lady who was with me was supposedly my mother in this world. She was already dead by the time I was taken into the church. The village doesn't like me because of my appearance. I have light blonde hair with purple eyes. I have a somewhat weak body, and I also always stay inside reading. The village children think they're going to get sick just by being around me. I don't really understand why, because I'm not contagious or anything.

"Sunny, the priests are here to take you to the temple." Father Lennon solemnly says to me from the library door. I have to go to the temple in the capital because of a disease that is taking over the village. I'm one of the youngest in the village. The parents of the young children are sending their children to the temple in the capital. There has been an act to destroy the village so that the plague doesn't spread to the other villages. I am one of those children who is going.

"Yes, Father Lennon!" I say in return. I hug him and thank him for raising me. He starts to walk, and I follow. We walk in comfortable silence down the stairs through the sanctuary, down the middle of the wooden seats, and to the small church's doors. Father Lennon stopped to open the doors of the old building. I hear some of the imperial knights who were assigned to take the children. The leader or captain of the imperial knights was even appointed to lead this as well.

"Greetings, little one! I'll be in charge of you for this trip. My name is Liam McClair, nice to meet you!" Captain McClair enthusiastically says to me. There are two medium-sized stagecoaches, which were made of sturdy wood. Captain McClair picks me up and sets me in the first stagecoach with some of the other kids. I waved back at Father Lennon as I was the last to be picked up. He waved back with watery eyes. I watch as the village gets smaller and smaller until I can't see it anymore.
