Chapter 20): Extraordinary Mind/Jealousy!

Joe woke the next morning after spending time with Love with a headache, he hadn't been drinking enough water lately and was not feeling his usual self, but what was he supposed to do when he was consumed with thoughts of Love. Shaking his head, which made him feel dizzy he stood up and walked towards the bathroom.
'Love, I have broken every rule that Joe set so he wouldn't get close to you. I wanted to make things be different, you deserve someone who is going to put you first, who won't be just a friend towards you.' Joe thought with a smile as he finished brushing his teeth.
He then stopped as he thought about how he finished that last mission, he was debating on whether or not he wanted to use the pull now or later, but something told him to do it now for some reason. Plus, he really wanted another mission so he was going to go ahead and pull it now, maybe something good would happen then.
'System go ahead and do my S-Class pull.' He thought to himself while he was picking out what to wear for the day.
The wheel spun before bright lights went off, Joe being use to it didn't pay much attention to it, he was just casually looking for something to wear because he was use to gaining things. At this point the colors were just background stuff for him, which is why he didn't even check to see how it looked this time.

Joe fell over, there was no warning, nothing but pain. Pain that was so bad he felt it in his jaw, his head was hurting as if someone was currently repeatedly beating him at the moment, he felt nauseated too. He was so out of it that he missed his phone going off, he had gotten two messages, one from Cindy and the other from Love.
Too bad he was passing out right as his phone went off as a phone call from the latter came in, he missed her call completely.

"Joe...Joe...JOE!!!" Love shouted, and as the last Joe left her mouth his eyes snapped open as he looked around.
The first thing he saw was the worried beautiful face of Love, "Even with worry on your face, you still somehow turn out to be the most beautiful woman to walk this earth."
Love's face softened and the worry washed away as she saw he was better, Joe smiled leaning up slightly and pecking her lips with a quick kiss causing her smile to grow bigger, "Why are you passed out on the floor half dressed?" She asked again slightly worried.
Joe sat up and noticed that he no longer had a headache, he was feeling way better than normal, his mind also was processing things a lot better, like he was able to catch the little twitch in Love's lip. She wanted to say something but was holding it back.
Joe eyes widen as he thought about another time that he had seen the look that she was giving him, it was a combination of his old memories and the new Joe memories. Each was his mother in both lives, both were at different times in his life though because one was him at four years old from his original mother.
That memory was of her gently singing to him while he was sick, she had stolen the song 'Soft Kitty' from...well from the show where he just got his new mind from, he chuckled internally at the thought. As for the other memory, well it wasn't as happy, his mother was still there for him, but it was after his father had beaten her, which made him feel bad.
Joe came back to himself as he felt Love gently put her hand on his face, he could see that the worry was returning at full force as he had been lost in thought, "I'm fine Love, really I am. I had some head problems this morning, and then all of a sudden I just blacked out."
Love looked into his eyes, and she must have found what she had been looking for because she smiled, but she had a stern face, "Good. But you aren't going to work today, I am the boss so no arguing either. Today you are going to stay in bed until I get off of work, then I am going to come back and check on you."
"And food? or the bathroom?" He asked amused by how commanding she was being.
She smiled while helping him to the bed, once he was lying in it, she leaned over and kissed his cheek before standing up right, "I will make you something to eat before I go, you can have it now or later either way you will be able to heat it up later."
Joe nodded and he could admit that he watched her ass the entire way that she walked out of the room, he was hypnotized by the way that her hips were swaying. He was wondering what she wanted to say to him though, she had never said anything, but he had seen her lip twitching more than once before she left the room.

(Love POV)
'Who the FUCK is Cindy?!' She thought furiously as she went to chopping celery that she had been nice enough to stock Joe's fridge with.
She didn't mean to look, but when she had walked into the room, she had seen Joe passed out on the floor and was worried, she was going to wake him but got distracted by his phone ringing. When she looked at it the name read 'Cindy', she was tempted to answer it but gave up the thought almost seconds later letting it ring.
She then waited and checked his phone, he had given her the password to it saying that there were no secrets between the two of them, which she loved but also, she hated at this moment. Going through their messages, she didn't understand it all but at the same time she also saw that they talked...a lot.
Like it was more than she talked to him, which made her grind her teeth at the thought, maybe she was another woman moving in on her man, and Joe was going to be taken from her. What is Cindy was hotter than her, she slammed the knife down harder at the thought of that, she hated not knowing something.
His phone didn't have a picture of the tramp so there was no way for her to know if her thoughts were true or not.
She put a smile on her face as she walked back into Joe's room, she saw that he was on his phone and she was tempted to snatch it then and there, looks like she needed to call her parents Private Investigator.

(Joe POV)
Joe looked at Love and he could see the eye twitch, it seemed that along with Physics and superheroes and trains, Joe's attention to detail also went up. He could tell that she was angry but unless she brought it up there was nothing, he could say about it, he was hoping that she would speak herself first.
"Well, I made you soup, and it is sitting on the stove. Don't let it sit there to long though or it won't taste the same when you eat it later. Call me if there is anything else you need though." Love said with a smile as she ran a hand through his hair before leaning over and lightly kissing him on the cheek.
Joe shook his head internally as she didn't say anything else after that still holding it in, "Alright, well I will make sure to do that. See you later Love."
She beamed at him again before walking away after kissing him lightly on the lips, Joe watched her walk out of the room and leave the apartment without another word, he wasn't surprised as she slammed the door. Apparently, she was mad about something, but it wasn't something she wanted to talk to him about, so there was nothing he could do.
'Well, that is now going to be in my mind forever.' He thought shaking his head before he went back to texting Cindy.
A good thing for both of them was that she was let off without going to jail, her going through what she did and the cops not finding out her grave site, well they couldn't pin the kills to her. Joe was happy about that, but also knew she would be watched for a while, which is why he made sure that she didn't come near him.
He would wait until things calmed down before he allowed her near him, thankfully for him the ring made sure she followed his words to the T.
