"Is this..."
Seeing the massive meteor above Konoha, everyone present gasped in shock, cold sweat breaking out on their faces. Naruto and Sasuke were especially stunned, their eyes wide with astonishment at the gigantic meteor, deeply shaken.
Even though one of them could enter Tailed Beast Mode and the other had unlocked the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, they both felt incredibly small in the face of this colossal meteor.
"What a huge meteor," exclaimed the carefree Seven-Tails Jinchuriki, Fu.
"Idiot, find a place to hide quickly," snapped Kurotsuchi, her face pale with fear but still finding the energy to scold Fu.
Kakashi turned to Shishou and said, "Lord Flying Thunder God user, please dispel this technique."
If such a massive meteor crashed down, Konoha would be completely destroyed.
Hearing Kakashi's plea, all the Jonin of Konoha turned their gazes to Shishou.
With a casual wave of his hand, the meteor in the sky vanished.
Seeing this nonchalant action, Kakashi and the others felt that Shishou's power was truly unfathomable.
Thankfully, thankfully, he was Lady Tsunade's man and wouldn't harm Konoha.
Thinking this, Kakashi, Shikaku, and the others felt immense relief.
A single strike could destroy a large ninja village; such power was beyond the capability of the Five Great Shinobi Nations to contend with.
Looking at the still-stunned crowd, Shishou spoke softly, "Whoever can reach the Hokage Rock the fastest will be my disciple."
Upon hearing this, everyone present erupted in excitement, even Naruto and Sasuke sprinting towards the Hokage Rock with all their might.
The power Shishou had just displayed had completely conquered them.
Seeing everyone run off, TenTen, Ino, Hinata, Sakura, and Shikamaru exchanged glances.
It wasn't that they didn't want to become the Flying Thunder God user's disciple, but they knew they couldn't compete.
Watching Naruto and Sasuke take off, Hinata couldn't help but say, "Did they forget that Shishou has the Flying Thunder God technique?"
Shikamaru shrugged, "They're probably just too excited to think straight."
TenTen looked at everyone and said, "Let's go. Shishou will definitely be first. I'll treat everyone to a celebration."
Hearing this, the group started walking back into the village.
As expected, the one who became the Flying Thunder God user's disciple was Aburame Shishou.
Ino, TenTen, and the others were very happy about this, while Naruto, Sasuke, and the others were quite dejected.
They couldn't defeat Shishou now, and if he continued learning from the Flying Thunder God user for a few more years, wouldn't they be even more outmatched?
Afterward, Shishou left Konoha, reverted to his Aburame Shishou identity, and joined TenTen and the others for a celebration dinner.
Meanwhile, the Aburame clan's house was nearly overrun. Since word had spread that Aburame Shishou had become the Flying Thunder God user's disciple, other prominent families in Konoha came to congratulate Aburame Shibi, hoping to establish connections.
Aburame Shishou had already become a Jonin, and if he continued learning from the Flying Thunder God user, his future achievements would be limitless.
Moreover, just the title of being the Flying Thunder God user's disciple was enough to make people take notice.
Some opportunistic individuals even began cozying up to Aburame Shibi, hoping to marry their daughters to Shishou.
If they could have Aburame Shishou as their son-in-law, their family's status in Konoha, and even in the ninja world, would rise significantly.
However, Aburame Shibi didn't dare make any promises on Shishou's behalf, instead suggesting they talk to Shishou directly.
Shishou didn't pay much attention to these matters.
After celebrating with TenTen and the others, he used the excuse of meeting with the Flying Thunder God user to leave Konoha, amidst Ino, TenTen, and Hinata's reluctant farewells and Naruto and Sasuke's envious looks.
In the following days, Shishou replicated his actions in Konoha in Kumogakure, Kirigakure, and Sunagakure, dropping three more Heavenly Obstacle Shaking Stars.
His aim was to raise the Moon Palace's profile and to intimidate the Five Great Shinobi Nations, preventing them from easily starting wars and ensuring long-term peace in the ninja world.
Of course, he didn't accept disciples in these three villages but told them to wait for the next year's opportunity.
Next, Shishou headed to Iwagakure to meet with the Third Tsuchikage, Onoki.
Onoki had been expecting Shishou. After all, the events in Konoha over the past few days had spread like wildfire through the ninja world, and he had heard all about them.
Without wasting words, Shishou followed the usual procedure.
Faced with the first Heavenly Obstacle Shaking Star, Onoki was surprised but not overwhelmed. He had ways to deal with such a jutsu.
However, when he saw the second, larger Heavenly Obstacle Shaking Star, followed by a third and a fourth...
He had to concede.
He could handle one Heavenly Obstacle Shaking Star, but two, three, or four were beyond his capacity.
Still, Onoki made a proactive request.
"If you can have your disciple, Aburame Shishou, marry Kurotsuchi, then Iwagakure will follow the Moon Palace's orders without question."
In Onoki's view, the Flying Thunder God user's power had transcended humanity, rendering numbers meaningless against him.
Even if all the ninja villages united, they couldn't defeat him.
Since that was the case, Onoki decided to align himself with this overwhelming power.
However, he wouldn't have offered his granddaughter Kurotsuchi if it wasn't her own request.
Kurotsuchi, having been tutored by Shishou in learning Dust Release, had long been captivated by him.
Unable to compete with Ino and the others in Konoha, she sought her father's intervention, hoping to secure an advantage through an arranged marriage.
After a few moments of silence, Shishou replied, "That rascal already has many women around him. Is Kurotsuchi okay with that?"
Onoki sighed, "This is her own request."
Seeing it was Kurotsuchi's own desire, Shishou agreed.
He had a fondness for the Tsuchikage's granddaughter; otherwise, he wouldn't have taught her Dust Release.
With that settled, Shishou left Iwagakure and began collecting the tailed beasts' chakra.
Then, he took the chakra he had gathered from around the ninja world and Rin Nohara to Genesis Space.
Thanks to the chakra acquired from the afterlife and the tailed beasts' generous contributions, the Divine Tree's progress towards bearing fruit accelerated significantly.
And the day when Shishou would harvest the chakra fruit and obtain the Rinnegan was drawing ever closer.
