Chapter 37 - Chapter 39: A Coke

Under Paul's self-healing ability, his body quickly counteracted the negative effects of the flash bomb.

As his sight gradually recovered, Paul saw Gina standing not far away with a shaved head, punching the floor vigorously, and constantly uttering various curses.

At the same time, a large number of armed soldiers rushed onto the deck from the stairs. Clearly, they had been ambushing at the waste recycling station and came here after hearing the explosion. When they reached the deck of the abandoned cruise ship and saw Gina punching, they froze.

Where did such a fierce nun come from? Immediately afterward, they saw Paul armed to the teeth and Wade waving a katana in the distance. They knew that these were the enemies they were supposed to ambush.

No one had expected the enemy to bypass the main entrance, sneak in behind them, and take their large force by surprise. The armed soldiers didn't have time to think. They immediately drew their guns and fired at Paul, who was closest.

Da da da da!

As the howling bullets flew, Paul immediately used a sliding maneuver to hide behind a nearby container.

Seeing the target disappear, the armed soldiers didn't stop firing. Instead, they sent out small teams to suppress the firepower while the rest continued to approach Paul's position from both sides, guns in hand.

At this moment, a crisp clanging sound continued from behind the container. Smoke billowed from the container, and as the wind direction shifted, it covered the positions of the armed soldiers, blocking their sight. There were a few dull bangs in their ears.

"Damn it! He's up there!"

Someone spotted Paul on top of the container. But it was too late. Paul, standing on the container, leaped high and landed in their midst. His firearm had been replaced with a modified M93R submachine gun.

Bullet time is on!

Paul only felt his blood pressure rise suddenly, his heart beating violently, and the movements of all the armed soldiers slowed. Suddenly, his arms raised, and the trigger was pulled!

Bang bang bang!

Paul's figure slid and spun around, his arms constantly moving to control the rapid movement of the gun's muzzle. Although his shooting seemed random, each bullet accurately hit its target.

In seconds, the magazine was empty. But the gunfire didn't stop. As a new magazine was loaded into the pistol, the muzzle flame flickered in the smoke again.

Every time the fire flashed, another figure fell in the smoke. Under the oppression of fear, the armed soldiers roared, raising their automatic rifles to fight back, but they couldn't hit that damned figure.

"God, what kind of monster is this?!"

The armed soldiers were terrified; this battle was not fair to them at all!

Paul didn't care what they thought. He had super high school-level sharpshooter skills, making direct shooting feel like child's play. Before the smoke dissipated, he shot and took down the last person.

Boom!

The corpse with a blown head fell backward. Paul grabbed two pistols and stood quietly on the pile of corpses.

This was what Gina saw when her vision returned.

"Fack!"

Gina growled with red and swollen eyes, grabbed a giant tire beside her, and threw it at Paul like a discus.

Although Paul saw it coming, he had no time to dodge the tire larger than himself. He could only raise his right arm to block it, feeling a terrifying force hitting him. His body was thrown to the iron wall more than ten meters away.

Paul spat out a mouthful of blood, his right arm severely twisted and deformed, looking broken.

Gina walked over with red and swollen eyes, seeing Paul's miserable state, she smiled cheerfully: "Disgusting little bug, I finally caught you. Any last words?"

"Yes, I want to take a sip of Coke."

Paul trembled, took out a can of Coke from his pocket, and pulled off the cap with one hand.

"Go to hell and drink!"

Gina smiled cruelly and raised her fist to smash his head. However, the can of Coke suddenly exploded! It emitted a familiar bright light!

"Unexpectedly, it looks like a can of Coke, but it's actually a flash bomb," Paul said proudly, tears in his eyes.

Gina: "..."

Despite her boundless vision, Gina continued to swing her fist at Paul's last known position.

However, Paul had anticipated her move. He rolled to the left, pulled out the shotgun from his back, supported his half-recovered arm against the barrel, and assumed a standard shooting posture.

He squeezed the trigger at Gina's position.

Boom!

Even with Gina's steel-like bones, at such close range, the shotgun's terrifying power knocked her back a few steps, causing her to groan from rib pain. Finally broke through her defenses!

Paul's heart raced. As his sight returned, he mercilessly pulled the trigger towards Gina.

Bang bang bang!

Gunshots rang out one after another, and the shotgun bullets made Gina stagger back. Blinded, she could only rage helplessly, passively taking Paul's shots.

She couldn't understand why Paul, also affected by the flash bomb, could shoot so accurately and handle a shotgun with such recoil after his arm was broken.

Only Francis, who was fighting with Wade, noticed Paul's rapidly healing arm. Even faster than Wade's self-healing!
