Xandra's POV:
These last few days were the happiest times of my life. It still felt like a beautiful dream to me, I would panic if I woke up and Max was not there.
But when I see his figure in the kitchen making breakfast and Drey's in the living room lazing around, I feel so happy, it's not a dream afterall.
Mira didn't want to move back to her house and Drey also moved in. The house is big enough anyway.
Nelson is returning from the school trip today, I couldn't sleep at all last from the excitement. I was so happy to see Nelson again after such a long time,not really long but it seemed like eternity to me.
"Mummy, why's your tummy flat, where's my baby sis?". That was the first thing he asked after getting in the car.
" She came out, and with a gift". I grinned.
" Really, what gift?". He asked all excited.
"You'll see when we get home".
He couldn't wait to get home,he kept asking about his baby sis, I missed him talking,but he definitely wasn't this chatty.
The car barely stopped when he bolted out and made for the house.
PS: Mira also took a leave,so she's helping me take care of my babies at home.
He stopped when he got to the living room, Mira was holding Diamond while Felix slept in the crib beside her. Nelson was confused as to which one is his sister.
"Mummy?". He looked at me with pitiful eyes when I got in.
" Yes cutie". He smiled before he turned serious again.
" My sister?".
" Yes,she came with a brother".
" Why? Does she not want me? Will she like him more than me?".
" No way, you are her big brother and he's her little brother and they are both your younger sibling, you'll love them both all by yourself".
" Yes yes". He grinned and went to stand beside Felix in the crib.
" Is she sleeping?".
"That's your brother, he's Felix and he's sleeping".
"Oh". He nodded in understanding.
"And that's your sister, Diamond, in sister Mira's arms".
" She's not sleeping, is she?".
"No". Mira replied.
" Yahhhh,can I carry her?". He jumped happily. Mira looked at me and I nodded.
" Yes, but she's still very small and must be held properly, you have to hold her sitting down, I'll teach you how to hold her properly ".
Nelson was excited and kept playing with his siblings all day,he wouldn't have eaten if I didn't threaten to take them away.
I've been thinking about how to tell Nelson about his dad and uncle, I finally decided that it was better if they told him themselves.
They went out to do whatever with Jade and came back quite late. Nelson was already asleep,he was playing all day and was probably tired.
The babies were already sleeping too, thankfully, they didn't give me much problem today.
" What took you so long?". I confronted as soon as they came in through the door.
" Did you forget Nelson was coming today?". Mira asked.
"Uhh,we,uhh,lost track of time I guess". Max answered uncertainly.
"You guess?". I repeated.
" No,no,we really lost track of time".
" How commendable, you forgot you have a son just after how long? I wonder how Nelson would feel if he knew".
" That's daddy?". We heard Nelson's voice from behind. I guess he wasn't sleeping.
" I thought you were sleeping". I said.
"I wanted to play with Felix and Diamond after you went to bed". He looked down with a guilty gaze.
" You will still see them tomorrow, you know?". I smiled.
" Ahh". Drey coughed.
"Uncle Drey". Nelson shouted excitedly and jumped on him.
" I missed you". He said and kept sticking to him like monkey on tree.
"I missed you too". He answered while Max just stood there,envy written all over his face.
" Is Shawn really my Dad?". Nelson asked Drey.
" Yes, your Dad was injured and his face became ugly and he was ashamed so he did surgery to make it fine again".
" Really,he was ugly?". Nelson asked as he burst out in laughter.
"I wished I had took a picture then,he was so ugly, it's hilarious. He looked like a alien from outer space".
"Seriously?".
"Un".
" No wonder, I hated him when he first came to our house".
"Really?".
"Un, Mom always liked Dad more than me".
I smiled. " Mummy loves you the most cutie". I ruffled his hair.
"Uh, I got a present for you man". Max said to Nelson.
"You want to bribe me? No way".
"It's the latest game console fr...".
" You can always bribe me, you know I love you,daddy". We all burst into a fit of laughter. It was hilarious.
