I just got news from my right hand man that she's sick and she might not live long anymore.
I should be happy that she's going to die but I feel bitter.
' how can she die when she hasn't even gone through half of what I want her to go through? How can she die so easily when my... '.
" Boss".
" Un".
" What are you going to do now? Should I kidnap her so we can make her suffer all we want before she dies?".
" No". I gritted. " She can't die. She mustn't die. Find a way,any way,she must live". I almost yelled.
" There's no... Yes sir, I'll find a way. I'll leave for now".
I sighed heavily.
' Ash, she's sick. Do you think the heavens want to punish her for causing you pain? But I don't want that, I want to make her suffer by my hand. I want to be the one who tortured her to death'.
I ran my hands through my hair. ' you must think so too, right? You also hate her, don't you?'.
Jade's pov;
It was Shawn's turn to monitor Xandra so I was in the living room catching up with Drey when we heard Shawn's scream.
" She woke up, come and see. She really woke up".
Drey and I rushed to the monitoring room. I barely entered when he jumped on me like a koala. He was hugging me so tight I could barely breathe.
I checked the monitor and it was just like he said. Xandra woke up and is currently looking around the room although she couldn't sit up.
" I'll go check on her". I said to them.
" I'll come with you". They both said simultaneously.
" You know you can't. She mustn't see you. You can watch through the monitor while check up on her".
" Jade". She said in hoarse voice so I handed her a cup of water to soothe her throat.
" Thank you".
" How are you feeling?".
" Hmm, I feel, lighter?".
I raised my brow.
" I don't know. I feel free. I feel very clear headed and refreshed. Is it because I slept for long? How long?".
I smiled. " Since the procedure started, it's been four months".
" Four months, what about my baby. It should be nine months now,what happened to it?". She said all panicky,she even started crying.
" They are fine. Due to the procedure we put you through, their growth was slowed but I assure you they are definitely healthy. You are currently due for birth in two months time". I explained to her.
" Is that right?". She asked sniffing.
" Yeah, you can rest assured".
" Thank you, Drey".
"My pleasure. Also, you won't be dying anymore. You are cured".
" What, I'm cured? How's that possible?".
" It's Jade remember. I have endless possibilities". I grinned.
" Am I really cured? Really? I won't die anymore?".
" Yes, really".
"Wah wahwah". She bursted into tears and started crying really hard. I bet she didn't cry this hard when Max died.
It must be the side effect.
" Sorry, I don't know why. I just felt like crying, maybe I'm too happy,wahwahwah". She continued crying.
" It's okay, it's ok. Cry all you want,ok".
And indeed she cried herself back to coma. Not coma really,she just fell asleep.
" She usually isn't like that,why was she crying so hard. Is something wrong?". Shawn asked immediately I went back to the monitoring room.
" It's the side effect of the elixir. It increased her empathy level to a 100%. She'll be much more emotional than ever. So don't panic".
" Is it a bad thing?". Drey asked.
" Hmm, I don't know. All her emotions and feelings will be amplified. Be it anger, sadness, love, hatred and so on. Whenever she's with someone who is emotional.
Someone who something bad happened to and is sad, someone who is feeling happiness at the moment, someone who's feeling angry. She will feel for them.
She'll be happy for them,sad for them, angry for them,cry for them. Something like that".
