Boros had merged with the sky, becoming a part of it.
This symbolized the failure of a God-King.
Yet, the consequences of this failure extended beyond the obvious—the vacancy of a God-King in the heavens. It signified that the celestial hierarchy had been disrupted, leaving a void where once there was order.
However…
This was only the surface of the situation. The deeper reality revealed a second problem:
Uranus.
The first God-King and the only one to emerge as an Ancient God from the moment of his birth had been freed from the shackles of the heavens.
What would come next with the liberation of this primal God-King? The answer eluded even the wisest among the gods. Each deity remained on edge, uncertain of the ramifications and outcomes of Uranus's return.
The Greek Pantheon—The Mythical World!
With the conclusion of the Heroic Age, the world had descended into chaos.
Uranus's return only underscored this reality.
The immense machine of the Mythical World seemed to be spinning its gears uncontrollably in an unknown direction. What the future held, no one could say.
No one knew.
Because no one could predict where this monumental machine was headed, nor the ultimate outcome of its relentless motion.
Of course…
To the gods, this was hardly surprising.
Why should it be? For those deities who had survived up to this point, they had grown accustomed to these upheavals. The invincible Titan God-King had once ascended to the realm of Ancient Gods, only to be defeated.
After that…
The divine races plunged into wars of annihilation. Then what?
Haha.
It's almost laughable.
Hades, the God of the Underworld, had also stepped into the realm of Ancient Gods, only to witness the Heroic Age come to its end.
And then…
Then…
The sheer chaos and abnormalities of the Mythical World had become so frequent that they ceased to astonish. Shocking events occurred one after another, but they had become mere footnotes in the grand narrative.
It seemed…
Perhaps…
Possibly…
The depth of this chaos was within acceptable bounds. Truly, nothing felt insurmountable. It could all be rationalized as minor issues, not worth losing sleep over.
In short…
For the gods, the consensus was one of indifference. These were trivial matters. After all, what difference did it make? Whatever happened, it was unlikely to affect them in any significant way.
As for the future and what it might hold?
Well…
It didn't matter.
At worst, everything would end. And even then, the gods were content to watch. The outcome of it all, to them, was almost irrelevant.
Events had spiraled so far out of control that any attempt to reverse them felt futile. So why bother?
The Greek Pantheon—The Mythical World!
Within this vast, legendary realm, so many events had unfolded that they scarcely mattered anymore. To the gods, everything felt like just another moment in the endless stream of time.
It was, ultimately, inconsequential.
Such was the mindset of the gods.

The Underworld.
"Boros has failed."
Hades slowly opened his eyes, murmuring softly.
"Huh?"
Hestia blinked, her expression puzzled. "Boros failed so easily?"
Persephone sighed, adding with a trace of emotion, "Boros's creation was already extraordinary. Zeus, Abel, and Apollo—these three were anomalies in themselves, and only through their union was Boros born."
"Yet…"
"I never imagined Boros would fail so easily."
"He…"
Persephone shook her head. No one could have foreseen such an outcome. A God-King, born of extraordinary circumstances and hailed as a miracle, had fallen so swiftly.
"His foundation was too weak," Hades explained calmly. "Ascending from a God-King to an Ancient God is not merely a matter of opportunity. The core determinant is one's foundation. Without sufficient depth, failure is inevitable."
"And…"
"With Boros's failure, Uranus has emerged from the heavens."
"This signifies…"
"That Uranus has broken free from the chains of destiny."
Hades's voice remained even, his tone devoid of emotion. Clearly, this outcome had not caught him off guard.
"Uranus's restoration, his freedom from destiny…"
"Sigh."
Hestia shook her head, her voice tinged with a mix of awe and concern. "Honestly, the Mythical World is spiraling out of control. If Father suddenly returns one day, I wouldn't even find it surprising."
"…"
Hades and Persephone remained silent, seemingly deep in thought.
"Hey!"
"Hey!"
Hestia's voice grew urgent. "Don't scare me! What I said can't possibly come true, right?"
She froze, her mind racing. If Uranus had broken free, could it mean that Kronos—her invincible Titan father—might also awaken?
"It's uncertain," Hades replied matter-of-factly. "Sister, as you said, Father might indeed return. But whether he will seize this opportunity is uncertain."
"However…"
"This is his best chance. If he acts now, his restoration will be almost effortless."
Hades's tone was calm, almost detached.
As he spoke, it was as though he were recounting mundane facts.
Indeed…
From Hades's perspective, this was a trivial matter. Why should he fear? Once, he had been weaker than his father, Kronos. But now?
It seemed…
Perhaps…
Probably…
Well, Hades had completely surpassed Kronos. With that being the case, why should he fear or even concern himself with his father's return?
From his perspective, it hardly mattered.
"Ah!"
Hestia blinked and muttered to herself, "I suppose that's true. Oh well! It's no big deal, so there's no need to worry too much."
"But…"
"Speaking of which…"
Hestia rubbed her chin thoughtfully and asked, "Brother, do you think Poseidon will succeed?"
"Poseidon has already succeeded."
Hades's voice was calm. "Sister, Poseidon's greatest obstacle was never his foundation but the constraints of the Mythical World itself. Now, with the world plunged into turmoil, those constraints no longer hold him back."
"Thus…"
"Poseidon's success was inevitable."
"And…"
For the first time, Hades's tone carried a hint of hesitation. After a pause, he continued, "Poseidon's success will trigger a chain reaction—namely, the return of our Father. Sister, let us wait patiently. Whatever happens, we need only observe."
"Alright!"
Hestia considered this briefly before nodding earnestly.
Well, well…
Whatever happens, my brother is here. Unless I'm forced to risk my life, nothing else is worth worrying about!
This was her ultimate assurance.
In the Underworld, nothing else mattered to Hestia. Her sole concern was to act when the time came, and only if absolutely necessary.
From her perspective, however, that day would never arrive. Not with her brother's overwhelming power.
Hades noticed the faintly amused smile on his sister's face and seemed to guess her thoughts. Shaking his head, he closed his eyes once more, resuming his silent observation of the Mythical World.
Though he couldn't enter it physically—an undeniable fact—the limitations of the Mythical World couldn't prevent him from watching its unfolding events.
Such was Hades's unique position.
He existed both within and apart from the Greek Pantheon's Mythical World. Through his dominion over death and his World Tree of the Underworld, he maintained a connection to the realm that neither side could sever.

The Mythical World—Sea Realm.
Almost simultaneously, Poseidon raised his head, a faint smile curling his lips. "Uranus has broken free as well? Things are becoming increasingly interesting."
"This truly excites me."
"What will the future hold?"
"What lies ahead?"
"Hehehe…"
Poseidon chuckled softly, shifting his gaze to the remnants of the Eldritch God. "It's over, Eldritch One. Your time has come to an end."
"Hehehe…"
The Eldritch God's raspy laughter echoed, but its voice soon grew clear and resonant. "Poseidon, I hope you succeed. No god has ever triumphed on this path. What awaits you is unknowable."
"I already know. Farewell."
With the final absorption of the Eldritch God's power, the entity dissolved into nothingness.
Yet Poseidon felt a peculiar shift within himself. The power he had absorbed carried not only the Eldritch essence but something deeper—an inexplicable change in his very core.
However, there was no time to dwell on this. He had other matters to address.
Fully absorbing the Eldritch God's power meant he was now beginning to feel its corrosive effects.
"I don't know if my preparations were adequate," Poseidon muttered. "What will be the result of this gamble?"
"Who knows…"
He whispered softly, his tone both solemn and determined. With a slight press of his lips, Poseidon vanished, leaving no trace behind.
---
The absorption of Eldritch power was a gamble of the highest stakes. Should he fail to control it, the result was clear—total corruption. He would become a puppet of the power he sought to master, consumed and erased, as countless others had before him.
But before taking this step, Poseidon had prepared as much as he could. Whether his efforts would suffice, even he could not say.
The path
ahead allowed no retreat.
Success or death—there was no middle ground. On this divine path, there was no room to stop.
