Luan heard my question and was visibly surprised. He truly hadn't expected that. I smiled at him and asked,
"So? Do you want to?"
The old man who had been watching us cleared his throat and said,
"Should I leave you two alone? It seems like you want to discuss something private."
I turned to him and said,
"It's fine, we're leaving now."
Then I took some money from my pocket and placed it on the counter. The amount was much more than necessary, but I didn't care.
"Who told you to pay?"
"Do you have something against a woman paying for you?"
"Yes, of course. If I go out with a woman, I have to pay for everything. I invited you, didn't I?"
"You think too much," I said to Luan. "Come on, teleport us somewhere. Or do you not want to show your ability to the old man?"
"Hey, I have a name, you know? Hahaha."
The old man said that, yet he still didn't tell us his name.
Luan sighed and looked at him.
"I'll come back later. Don't be surprised if I show up here with another woman."
Then he looked at me.
Is he trying to make me jealous?
But that won't work on me.
"Idiot," I said.
"Hahaha, you're a womanizer just like I imagined. When I was younger, I was very handsome too, you know? I loved fooling around with lots of women... until one woman caught me."
"So you're married?" Luan asked.
"Yes, for almost forty years."
The old man spoke as though he were recalling a wonderful past.
"She passed away two years ago, but I still keep counting the years. I'm sure I'll live long enough for us to reach our fiftieth anniversary. Hahaha."
Hearing that made my heart ache.
Even though he was smiling, the man's eyes were sad.
"I'm sorry to hear that," Luan said.
"It's alright, it's been a long time already. Hahaha."
The old man let out a loud laugh.
Then Luan suddenly said,
"I'm getting married soon. I'll definitely remember to invite you, Milan."
"I'm happy to hear that."
So Luan knew his name all along and never told me!?

Sighing, I grabbed Luan's hand.
"We're leaving, Mr. Milan. I'll definitely come back more often. Your food is wonderful."
"Thank you for the compliment. I'm sure it was my cooking that won Miranda over."

Luan teleported us immediately afterward.
My vision shifted, and we found ourselves on top of a building near the alley. A strong, cold wind struck our bodies, and Luan walked away toward the edge of the rooftop.
I approached him from behind and asked,
"You really like high places, don't you?"
I laughed.
"Yeah, I do. I wonder if I can teleport to the top of the tower."
Luan looked toward the tower that rose above the clouds. Since the sky was heavily overcast, its peak couldn't be seen.
"Have you ever tried?" I asked.
"No, I've never tried. I've never had a reason to. What do you think? Want to give it a shot?"
Hearing Luan's question, I thought for a moment.
Many people have been up there, but I never have. I don't particularly care about going... but if I'm with Luan...
"Shall we?"
I extended my hand, and he took it.
A moment later, my vision changed again.
This time, we were much higher.
Looking down, I could see the heavy clouds beneath us.
It's probably going to rain soon.
Standing near the edge, I spread my arms. The wind up here was strong.
Luan laughed, and I turned toward him.
"What is it? What are you laughing at?"
"It's nothing."
He approached and stood beside me.
I looked at the horizon above the clouds, then at the stars, which seemed even larger and more beautiful from up here. The moon was bigger too, more imposing.
A magnificent sight.
I should've come up here sooner...
"The view is beautiful, isn't it?" Luan said while gazing at the horizon.
I glanced sideways and then looked at his face.
His long hair was being swept by the wind, making the aura around him seem even more... beautiful.
"Yes, it really is beautiful," I said while looking at him.
Luan turned toward me and smiled.
"What is it? Have you fallen for me?"
He asked it teasingly. After all, he already knew I liked him.
"Yeah, I think I've fallen for you even more."
I tried to strike back and embarrass him, but it didn't work.
"I see. My face is handsome enough to make the legendary adventurer Ais fall hopelessly in love with me."
"..."
I didn't know what to say.
I fell silent and looked back toward the horizon.
Then Luan laughed.
"Hahaha, you're embarrassed. Your face is completely red. How cute."
He kept teasing me.
"Stop it, idiot!"
I shouted, acting in a way I would never act in front of anyone else.
Then I walked away to the opposite side of the tower's summit.
I could hear Luan's footsteps getting closer and closer.
Then he whispered something into my ear.
"I'm happy that you're in love with me."
A shiver ran through my entire body, and I quickly stepped away.
"Don't do that! You scared me."
"Hm, you're covered in goosebumps. Did my words make you that happy?"
Luan continued teasing me.
Feeling my blood boil, I moved.
In an instant, I closed the distance between us and threw him to the ground.
As soon as I did, I climbed on top of him, and my eyes met Luan's.
As I stared at him, I felt my heart beating faster and faster.
I even began to feel a slight pain in my chest.
It felt as though my heart might explode at any moment.
Then I asked,
"Can I kiss you?"
Luan didn't hesitate for even a second before answering.
"Of course."
