Hestia didn't speak to me for the rest of the day. I didn't mind, since I knew it wouldn't take long for her to go back to acting as usual. She can be really annoying and petty, but she can't ignore me for too long.
As I expected, by the next day Hestia was already acting normally.
The only thing different was the way she was looking at me. It was as if her eyes were saying, "I know what you're going to do today. You'd better think twice about it." But I just ignored her stare.
I'm meeting Ais today—I want to see her.
I'm feeling a bit nervous though… What if Ais gets really angry and never comes near me again? I really want her by my side. But if she ends up hating me, there's nothing I can do…
I don't want to abandon Lili, Hestia, or Mikoto—that's out of the question. I'm not trash. Besides, I've always liked Hestia more than Ais. Even though she's been kind of irritating lately…
I finished breakfast and stood up.
"Where are you going?" Lili asked.
"He's going to meet a woman," Hestia said, the only one who knew what was written in the letter.
"A woman? Another one?" Haruhime asked.
"She's just a friend," I said.
"Liar. You're going to hear her confession, and I'm sure you'll accept it!"
"Is that true?" Lili asked with a big smile. "Is the Goddess talking about who I think she is?" For some reason, she looked really excited.
"Yes, I'm talking about Ais. I read yesterday's letter—she wants to meet Luan. And from the tone of it, I'm sure she's going to confess to him!" Hestia told Lili.
"But is that really a bad thing? Ais is strong and beautiful."
"Aren't you angry about this? He already has the three of us and still wants another woman!"
Unlike Hestia, who was clearly upset, Lili and Mikoto didn't seem to care much.
"Well, if she truly likes Luan, then let her confess. And you, Luan—do you like her?" Haruhime asked.
I stared at her silently.
"Oh, you do." I didn't even need to answer for Haruhime to figure it out. "It's amazing how you can like so many women at once…"
"I'm just a guy who likes spreading love," I chuckled.
"Luan!" Hestia was visibly irritated. "Fine, I won't stop you. But if something happens between the two of you, I will NOT let that woman join my Familia! She's not living here!"
"That's fine. Loki wouldn't allow that anyway." I shrugged.
"So you WERE planning on bringing her into our Familia!"
"…" I ignored Hestia's words and started walking away from the table. But she stood up, ran after me, grabbed my arm, and pulled me down. Then she kissed me on the lips.
"I hope you don't start treating us differently if you end up with that woman. She might end up contaminating you."
…She's crazy. Contaminate me? What's that supposed to mean?
"It's fine. If she can't accept sharing me with you, then I won't accept her love." I felt a bit embarrassed saying something like that out loud, but it made Hestia really happy.
As for Lili… she was trying hard not to laugh.
I sighed and left the mansion.

Ais had written down a place and time in her letter. I already had the address memorized, so I didn't need to look at it again. She told me to be there around lunchtime. Since it's still early, I think I'll have some fun somewhere else first.
So I teleported back into my room.
After turning on my computer, I browsed the store to see if there was anything I could buy at a reasonable price. That's when I stumbled upon a huge catalog of computer games.
Not just PC games—console games too.
I searched for consoles in the store and found them for sale, but the prices were insanely high.
"Some games are locked… They're all online games." I clicked one of them and a message popped up:
[ You can only buy this game after purchasing 'Internet' ]
"Huh?" I let out a surprised sound.
What do you mean, purchase internet? Can I actually buy internet?
I looked closer—and yeah, it was really there. There were even different internet providers and speeds. I could get a 2MB connection for 50,000 points… and the price just kept going up.
"A 5MB connection costs 100,000 points… That's insane."
But thinking about it, 5MB is enough to browse the web. It's terrible for gaming, but good enough for research. "I wonder if I'll be able to access YouTube or social media once I buy internet?"
If that's possible, then I'll be able to tell people I came to another world.
I could even contact my mom and let her know I'm okay. That would put her at ease.
"Screw the generator! I need to save up points to buy internet!" I shouted, excited.
Since the store was still open, I went back to the game catalog and bought a cheap one for just 200 points. The name of the game was Cookie Clicker—an incredibly addictive game, perfect for passing the time.
I started playing, and time flew by…
Before I knew it, hours had passed.
When I finally looked at the clock on the corner of the screen, I panicked. "It's already lunchtime!" I yelled, quickly shutting down the computer.
That damn game really IS addictive!
