Chapter 76 - An ultimate attack

"That is all I'm sharing for now. Can't let you guys know all of my secrets. Who knows, we can become enemies in the future."

They all glanced at each other for a second, and understood what he meant. Even though they all got along well and had become closer, it didn't mean they could completely trust eachother.

Not all people on planet Syair was good, just like any society their were many people who turned bad or saw life differently. Not all soul masters joined a guild, and not all guilds were good. Their were many factors in why Calvus said what he said.

"Damon, do have a ultimate attack."

"Ugh, no. I never really thought of having one before."

"You should really create one, my personal trainer and my father says it's a calling card. You can have more than one, but the names and the poses should corrispond with yourself or your ability. "

Ding!

[Your race tag will appear in 5 hours.]

Seeing the message, Damon had completely forgot about something called a race tag was supposed to appear. He had received a message about it when he fully awakened just before his consciousness was sent back.

"Ugh, a little off subject, but do you guys know what a race tag is?."

"Yes, it's a change in one of your features that usually deals with your ability."

"Yea dude, It's like, once you reach a certain maturity with your ability, your ability kinda brands you. It doesn't happen with everyone and most people who have a race tag or a ability tag which some people call it, keeps them covered. "

Fang stepped closer to Damon pulling down his face covering just enough to show his mouth. He opened his mouth wide Revealing ice fangs that were an inch long. Their icy blue color shined like a blue diamond.

"Woah, now I know why you're called Fang." Damon said with admiration.

"Yea, they can be a bit annoying at times, but it seems I've gotten use to them. You must have one as well?."

"No, not yet anyway."

"What do you mean, not yet. It's not something you know is coming, it sorta just appears." Fang said.

"So about that pose of yours Fang, why don't you work on it a little. I think I'm going to work on an ultimate attack as well." Damon said changing the subject.

He activated NimboStratus, a small dark grey cloud with electric current crackled and popped all around it, like a small storm. Calvus and Fang mouths dropped to the floor as it moved slowly in the air.

Just like his cumulus clouds, he could shape it, but only into a sphere. For one small storm cloud the size of an orange it took 50 of his plasma energy. Focusing, he made it bigger by adding more energy, making it the size of a watermelon draining 150 of his plasma energy.

Looking at multiple robotic dummies in the back of the room, he swung his arm out. The storm cloud blasted off moving much faster than he anticipated, the electric charge swimming within the ball of clouds propelled it as it crackled and popped.

A small explosion rung out with scattered electricity that crawled and dug into the robotic test dummies. They had marks all over them, but weren't seriously damaged.

"I guess it's not that strong."

"Not that strong?." Fang repeated.

He then conjured a large ice spike that flew with precision hitting a bot. The spike broke in half falling to the ground, only leaving a small dent.

"No,it's just Mr. Bell used incredibly strong material to create those things. You can see I barely put a dent in it."

"Damn dude, it's like you can really control the weather or something."

Damon conjured another and examined it closely, it truly looked exactly like a dark cloud with lightning flashing inside.

Calvus walked up to the storm cloud slowly sticking his finger inside it.

Zap,zap!!

"Ahhhh, shoot, that stings like hell."

"Ya know, you're too curious for your own good. It seems you like learning things the hard way."

"It's best to know where I stand with it than not knowing. I probably can take the pain for a minute, but that's it."

"Let's test it, I haven't been able to use it really."

They agreed on a few things first before going through with it. Fang stood off to the side shaking his head.

"It seems you both are idiots." He thought face palming himself.

The good thing Damon noticed about the NimboStratus cloud, he could add more or less into it with a simple thought.

"Ready?

Calvus stood strong while nodding his head, the storm cloud moved slowly towards him at first, but took off towards him as he prepared to block it. The second he touched the NimboStratus cloud.

His eyes turned wide as electricity covered his body. Gritting his teeth he battled the small lightning strikes that constantly struck his body making small engraved cuts all over like he was being welded on.

He screamed as the strikes and crawling pops of electricity came to a stop.

"Woooo, now that's tough, I couldn't transfer myself out, or even use my ability with that much current going through my body." He thought still feeling light zaps run through his body.

Damon rushed over making sure he was ok, besides burned cuts and occasional twitching like he was still being electrocuted he was fine. Damon made sure to use only a 1,000 volts feeling it wouldn't explode on contact. The first one he used, 150 plasma, but was around 3,000 volts in electric current.

Just like him being able to tell how much electricity he used from his body, he could do the same for his new clouds. Recovery mist fully healed Calvus and now it was his turn.

Multiple images surrounded Damon, he tried his best keeping up with Calvus transfer speed, but lost him once the images hit fifteen.

"Phantom strike."

Damon was hit multiple times at once, a unpleasant pain swept across his face as four images appeared and disappeared. He was thinking it wasn't too bad, but as Calvus snapped his fingers severe pain hit making him hold his stomach and hit the ground.

He coughed up blood while receiving a notification.

[You have been damaged internally.]

"The first impacts aren't the real hits, the lapse in time my images can create is stored for a double impact twice as strong." Calvus said walking up with all smiles.

Damon got up as recovery mist loomed over him.

"Yea, those latent hits really packed some power. I would be in a mess if a weapon was used." He responded.

"Wanna give it a go Fang."

"You guys are idiots, no thank you."

They sat down for a bit conversing, Damon was still thinking about an ultimate attack. He loved the ball of electrical clouds, it made him feel like a god of lightening or something. They bombarded him with questions on how he was able to achieve an upgrade in his ability.

"While fighting for my life I was lucky to get a little experience that allowed me to push my ability further."

It was a simple answer that was believable because all abilities developed more as a person became stronger or more skilled.

"So you guys got stronger as well, any new moves?."

"A few, but I'm not one to talk about it, how about a little free for all match. We might as well, it'll be days before we get back home." Calvus spoke.

They all agreed to train through combat and sharing what they could see within eachother abilities. Fang and Calvus showed Damon a few tricky movement's and their style of fighting when it came to hand to hand.

He picked up on them a little, but would always resort to his wild brawling style.

Fang covered the floor in ice while Damon covered above them with storm clouds. Calvus constantly swapped images darting around, striking them both.

Creating static all around him Damon protected his body from initial hits from both of them. Hits would get through if he failed to block, but upon them touching him while his power was crawling over him, They're speed and reaction time would reduce due to the small shocks.

It allowed him to land a counter hit almost everytime they hit him. Fang covered his fists in ice which got through Damons barrier easily until rain got involved. They battled, not going all out, but still made it competitive. Last one standing would win and to no surprise it was fang. His stamina and evasive defense out lasted them.

It was getting late so they agreed to go shower and meet back up for a late night dinner. Damon stopped by the cargo bay, checking on the cub when a burning sensation crawled up and down his arm.

He immediately took off his shirt witnessing multiple blue lines of electricity burning his skin. From the middle of one side of his chest all the way down his arm like a half chest, and full sleeve tattoo.

The way hot molten lava could be seen running through the cracks of volcanoes in the dark was the same way his chest and arm resembled against his brown skin because of the blue webs of electricity.

He gritted his teeth as the pain died down. It went away as quickly as it came, an now looking at it, it was like a blue florescent glowing tattoo. It pulsated slowly with each of his breaths for a moment getting bright than darker. Soon it all went dark, his chest and arm was left with webbed scars, carved into his skin.

Ding!

[Race tag has been applied.]
