Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: you know.. Charm him

Medusa's Return

The portal shimmered in the wolf realm, and Medusa stepped through with the grace of a queen. Her cloak was dusted with castle ash, her eyes sharp with secrets. Grizzil, who had been balancing a cookie on his nose, promptly fell over in shock.

Grizzil.. "You're back! Did you… you know… charm him?"

Medusa: (smirking) "Let's just say Lord Alexander is now convinced I'm his most loyal ally. He spilled everything."

Master O'Brien leaned forward, his staff glowing faintly.

O'Brien: "What did you learn?"

Medusa lowered her voice, though Grizzil leaned in so close he nearly toppled into her cloak.

Medusa: "Alexander is preparing a binding spell with his sorcerers. It's designed to strip Aven and Cyrus of their wolf powers permanently. He wants them paraded as trophies, symbols of his dominance."

Grizzil gasped so loudly it echoed through the chamber.

Grizzil: "Trophies? Like… mounted on the wall? Or worse - turned into decorative rugs?!"

Medusa: "Calm yourself, goblin. He hasn't succeeded yet. But he's gathering power quickly. He's also planning to summon more shadow hounds, this time infused with sorcery to resist sunlight."

O'Brien's face darkened.

O'Brien: "That would make them nearly unstoppable. We'll need counter‑magic, and quickly."

Grizzil waved his cookie like a sword.

Grizzil: "Don't worry! I'll fight them off with my… uh… crumbs of justice!"

Medusa rolled her eyes, though a faint smile tugged at her lips.

Medusa: "Your crumbs won't save anyone, Grizzil. But your chaos might. Alexander doesn't expect resistance from a goblin."

---

Meanwhile, Alexander stirred from his enchanted haze, unaware of how much he had revealed. His sorcerers gathered around, chanting over a cauldron that glowed with wolf‑shaped shadows.

Alexander: "Soon, my nephews will kneel. And when they do, the wolf realm will be mine."

But deep in his mind, a faint echo of Medusa's spell lingered - a whisper of doubt he couldn't shake.

---

Back in the wolf realm, O'Brien gathered Medusa, and Grizzil.

O'Brien: "We must strike before Alexander completes his spell. Medusa, you've given us the knowledge. Now we need to inform Cyrus and Aven through the bronze medallion and inform them that their wolf powers must be hidden until we're ready. And Grizzil…"

Grizzil: (saluting with a cookie) "Yes, sir!"

O'Brien: "…try not to eat all the supplies before the battle."

The group chuckled, but the weight of the coming conflict pressed on them. Alexander's schemes were growing darker, and the royal brothers' fate hung in the balance.

---

This makes the medallion the perfect device for O'Brien to reach them in the human world.

Back in the human world...

Cyrus and Aven are sitting in a human tavern, trying to blend in. Suddenly, the bronze medallion glows on Aven's chest. O'Brien's voice echoes:

O'Brien: "My wolves, listen well. Alexander's sorcerers are close to finishing the binding spell. Medusa has infiltrated his castle, but you must stay hidden until she returns."

Grizzil, of course, interrupted as usual:

Grizzil : "Ask him if he can send snacks through the medallion! Maybe a pie?"

"that's not what we're communicating with them for.

" Aven i would advice you boys hide in the mountains for a while nature is best to blend with your scents can easily be picked if you're in the city. I'll maje a scent clearing spell enough to last the search when the hounds come to earth"

With that O'Brien's voice was gone...

But the boys heard the message, and they have to head home to inform the parents and start camping right away...well they'll take it as camping not hiding...
