It had taken a while, but finally I had enough material to send to Miranda so she could confirm that Conner could potentially be Hayley's. It was a vial of blood which I had extracted from the baby over the past few weeks. It had taken a while, and doing so had been a great risk, but I achieved my goals all thanks to Conner and the ridiculous power flowing in him.
I had wondered how I'd get enough blood from him without causing the baby harm or even tipping Conrad off. He was especially obsessed with his son, and wouldn't go more than an hour without seeing him. But thanks to the baby's immense healing prowess, getting his blood and keeping his wounds a secret was relatively easy. He healed faster than any normal child, and his latent power was actually very terrifying. It was part of the reason why such a child could not be left in the care of a monster like Conrad. If he grew with Conrad's influence, there was no telling what would happen to the kingdom once becomes ruler.
