All human third rankers took positions at the head of their army — facing the demon of their choice. Those who had not chosen any stayed in the middle and at the end. It was unstoppable now; still, Damian flew high up, moving closer to the demons.
The Emperor and Elf Queen understood his intention and joined him in midair. Halfway between the two armies they slowed down as the most powerful among the demons flew up alone and stopped some meters from them. The demons had a weird accent but they did not have any other language — being part of the same continent before getting separated.
"Who are you? What clan do you belong to?" the demon asked before Damian could say anything.
"I am Runebreaker. I was not born a demon," Damian replied.
"Highbloods," the demon said arrogantly. "We are called Highbloods. Do not use insulting words to describe us, Dawnwalkers."
"Well," Damian said, "you are indeed high if you think your eight people can defeat our eighteen with a much better army."
