The moment Destiny finally opened up to me—truly opened up, without hiding behind half-smiles or clever deflections—I felt something deep inside me loosen. I'd known the truth all along, but hearing it from her, seeing the way her walls came down... it meant more than I could explain.
She was here. She was mine again.
Carrying her in my arms to my house felt like the most natural thing in the world, like this was where she had always belonged. And when we made love, it was as if nothing had changed—every sound she made, every soft gasp, every way her body moved with mine... it all came rushing back, familiar yet overwhelming. Her moans still echoed in my head, and I knew this night would be etched into me forever.
After, we lay tangled beneath the sheets, our skin still warm from the heat between us. I pressed a kiss to her forehead, breathing her in. She smelled like home.
