Xu Kai came home to find his wife buried in papers, when he walked towards her, he picked up one of the papers that she had neatly arranged in a stack. He looked at the design and was shocked, he picked and was stunned each time he turned over.
Cheng Xiao had managed to design about thirty jewelries.
"Did you design all this?" He asked.
"Yes!" She said as continued with the one she was doing right now.
"Wow!" He exclaimed.
"This whole week has been crazy." Cheng Xiao said.
"Thanks to that anniversary dinner you have gone famous." Xu Kai said.
"Yes, regarding about how busy I am, I am thinking of hiring an assistant." Cheng Xiao said.
"You still don't have one?" Xu Kai asked.
"Not yet." Cheng Xiao replied and let out a yawn.
"You need to sleep." Xu Kai said wanting to pick her up.
"I still have so much to do." She said looking back.
"Rest first." He said and picked her up.
Xu Kai carried her to the bed and placed her down; he got in and pulled her into his embrace. Cheng Xiao leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes; it was only then she realized how tired she was.
Xu Kai placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and pulled the covers up. He switched off the lights and let sleep take over.
The next morning, Xu Kai woke up to find Cheng Xiao not in his arms anymore. He eyes searched the room until they landed on the sofa, Cheng Xiao had fallen asleep with a sketch pad in her hand.
Xu Kai started to wonder what time she had gotten up to start designing again. Xu Kai went over and gently picked her up again. When he laid her down, she jerked her eyes open.
"I have to finish." She said trying to get up but Xu Kai held her down.
"No, you need to sleep." He said forcing her back down.
