The three ladies walked out of the room and went to join the men in the living room. Su Li was carrying Jiang Chao whose head was buried in her neck, one of the things Jiang Chao liked to do was bury his head in his mother's neck. He liked her scent; it was like his sweet haven.
"Jiang Chao, aren't you supposed to be a man?" Jiang Cheng asked his son when he saw his wife.
"Leave me, I am still a baby." Jiang Chao huffed at his father.
"Come here!" Jiang Cheng offered to take him.
"No!" Jiang Chao refused and held on tight to his mother.
"Leave him!" Su Li said patting Jiang Chao's back.
"Don't you want to see who is here?" Jiang Cheng asked Jiang Chao.
"Who?" Jiang Chao asked but his head remained in the same position.
"It's your favorite person." Xu Kai said.
"Uncle?" Jiang Chao asked when he heard Xu Kai's voice.
"Uncle Xu!" Jiang Chao said excited and wanted to jump out of his mother's arms.
"Wait, I'll put you down." Su Li said and crouched down place him on the floor.
"Uncle Xu!" Jiang Chao called out excitedly as he ran to when Xu Kai was sitting.
"A'Chao!" Xu Kai called him as he bent to pick him up.
"The way he is so excited to see you, but can never be that excited to see me." Jiang Cheng mumbled to himself.
"Are you jealous?" Su Li said from where she was standing.
"What if I am?" Jiang said not hiding it.
"Isn't that a shame." Su Li said shaking her head.
Xu Kai held Jiang Chao as he sat on his lap talking his ears away. Xu Kai would smile and respond to his questions.
"I never knew he is actually good with kids." Cheng Xiao said looking at them.
"Jiang Chao was quite attached to Xu Kai even when he was still a baby. People would have thought that he was the father is Jiang Chao didn't look like a replica of his father." Su Li said looking at the two.
"Are you thinking of your future kids?" Shen Mu teased nudging Cheng Xiao.
"Shen Mu!" Cheng Xiao scolded Shen Mu, but she did not miss the glance that Xu Kai gave her.
'Did he hear?' Cheng Xiao thought to herself.
"I said..."
"Yes, slow we got it." Shen Mu and Su Li said teasing her.
The three ladies sat together talking and laughing, there were times when they would switch and start whispering. The two men would just watch them and just shrug it off; Xu Kai's attention was on Cheng Xiao at times Jiang Chao had to call out to him to get his attention back.
