Cheng Xiao sat in the garden watching the night sky, Xu Kai arrived home and asked where she was and one of the maids told him, she told him that Cheng Xiao was in the garden.
Xu Kai went to the garden and found her seated on the sofa, he saw that she was cod and took off his coat and placed it over her shoulders.
"Why keep sitting outside when you are getting cold?" Xu Kai said sitting next to her.
"I didn't ask for your coat." She said moving her hands to remove it.
"Don't!" Xu Kai said stopping her.
"In two weeks, I will take you to see my family." Xu Kai said.
"I..." Cheng Xiao opened her mouth.
"Can you promise one thing?" Xu Kai asked.
"What?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"Can you promise me that if my grandfather accepts you, you will give our marriage a chance?" Xu Kai asked.
"I can't promise you that." Cheng Xiao said.
"If your grandfather doesn't accept me, can you let me go?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"Cheng Xiao, you know how I feel, how do you expect me to let you go?" Xu Kai asked.
"I am going back inside." Cheng Xiao said taking off his coat and gave it back to him.
Cheng Xiao stood and went inside; she walked the stairs and walked into their room. She took off her clothes and went into the bathroom. She opened the shower tap and turned the water to cold, she wanted to cool off her head.
What did she need to do to make Mr. Xu not to like her and then she would be free from this sham. There was a possibility that his grandfather might like her and if she did, did she really have to give this marriage a chance.
After a while of just standing under the water she switched off the shower and wrapped the towel around herself, she took another one and wrapped it around her hair. She came out and her eyes met Xu Kai, and she clutched the towel tighter to her chest.
"I'll go and wash up as well." Xu Kai said and she nodded.
Cheng Xiao walked to the closet and wore her night gown. After she finished, she and plugged in the dryer and started drying her name. Xu Kai came and she switched it off, her hair was almost dry so, she decided to leave the room.
Cheng Xiao climbed into the bed and called Shen Mu asking how it went, Shen Mu told her everything.
"I am so happy for you, I wish I could also..." Cheng Xiao trailed off.
"You will, just open your heart to him." Shen Mu said.
"I think I'm going to hang up." Cheng Xiao said.
