The world of Teyvat is filled with numerous opportunities. Uncharted territory, waiting to be explored and conquered. New areas and landmarks, waiting to be documented. Teleport Waypoints, waiting to be activated. A certain Ancient God or Geovishape Progenitor, waiting to be unleashed, and of course, elemental monsters, waiting to be extinguished by brave souls. One particular elemental monster may encounter within their journey as an adventurer are Hypostasis.
Hypostasis are known for their unique nature in which their core is exposed consistantly, but is always protected by their malleable shield, which they can also mold into what ever form they desire. A viper, a fist, scissors, a rhinoceros, towers, and many more. Truly, the only limit to this conversion is their own creativity and imagination. Not only that, but their innate elemental affinity as well as their mastery over it, can pose quite the headache for those who aren't prepared.
Throughout the world known as Teyvat, these Hypostasis occupy certain areas of the map. A few of them occupy areas that compliment their elemental affinity well. Such as the Cryo Hypostasis taking place within the Dragonspine mountain, where temperatures always give inexperienced individuals chills like never before. The Dendro Hypostasis taking place within an that's mostly green and filled with floral life. The Hydro Hypostasis taking place within an area surrounded by water.
But no one has ever seen all of them together in one place. No has seen them develop wills and desires of their own. Wishes they'd like to have granted. I, for one, don't necessarily believe in "miracles" per se. However, what I bore witness to can be called nothing short of a miracle.
I saw, first hand, a glimpse of the creation and evolution of life itself! A new being made into physical form, born from the hidden will, desires, and wishes of those monsters. As they flew together in synchronized harmony, fusing into a new product of life. Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Electro, Anemo, Dendro, and Geo. All 7 elements gathered as one and out from the cascade of what seemed to be a universal kaleidoscope, emerged the new and alien figure.
I couldn't say whether it was specificity male or female, as Hypostasis don't have a gender per se. This new being was naked as the day and time it was born. An androgynous, yet fair complexion. It's face and countenance would certainly take one off guard. Not so much that they'd fall and worship it like a divine god or start blushing and stammering like a foolish teenager who just met their highschoolcrush, but they would certainly be pleased by simply looking at it.
It's body structure and build began to shift a bit, turning more masculine, yet still on the lean side of that spectrum. 6-pack abs any man would love to have, limb muscles that have a good balance between thin and muscular, not too overly bulky, but still enough that one wouldn't doubt the masculinity it holds.
It's hair as white as snow and long enough to reach his waist and golden eyes that shine as brightly as the sun. As it descended down and looked around, checking it's new physique, it then directed it's gaze at me and tilted it's head as if to analyze what type of being stands before him. Ironic, as that should be my role.
It then spoke and uttered one question: "What happens next?" said the new being in front of me.
I could not immediately answer, for one cannot simply provide an appropriate answer to a question such as that. The only thing I could say is
"That depends on you. You are now alive and free to do what you wish. But first, you may wish to put some clothes on."
The being looked down and saw that, indeed, it was nude. Then, out of a mixture of multiple elements, it formed itself clothing befitting of a distinguished gentleman. It then looked back at me and asked, "What is my name?"
I was momentarily taken aback by the question and sudden offer of choosing one's identity. However, it also vanished as soon as it arrived, for I had found a fitting name for him.
"Amil"
The being registered the name, repeated it under it's breath, and then looked back at me in acceptance.
"From now on, I shall be called 'Amil'."
I nodded in response. I then asked it "What will you do now?"
It pondered my question, before coming up with an answer.
"Explore, learn, experience new things, etc. I was given this life for a reason, so I must not waste it."
I saw within it's golden eyes determination in what it just said. I, for one, smiled in response.
"Then go and explore, Amil."
The being also smiled back and walked in a certain direction, intending to do what it had originally planned to do.
"This is the start of a new journey, a new beginning. I hope you enjoy your newly given life to the fullest Amil."
Oh, and for those that wonder who I am to have witnessed the birth of this spectacular phenomenon. Let's just say I was invited by someone you all should know very well. After all, you are reading his novel as we speak, or should I say, as I think, aren't you? Besides, this story isn't about me. I know you want to follow Amil's path, so I won't hold you anymore.
