Vanessa froze and turned towards Stuart slowly, saying coquettishly, "Stuart, I was just teaching this woman a lesson so that wouldn't dare to talk to anyone rudely again".
Eddie scoffed at her words 'what does she mean by rude? Last time I checked she was the one acting arrogantly'.
Eddie was about to retort but she froze at the next words she heard.
"What right do you have to teach my fiancée a lesson?" Stuart's cold voice sounded.
Vanessa's delicately made up face turned ghastly pale. She staggered back a bit shaking her head in disbelief muttering incoherent words.
"No, it's impossible. You are lying, you must be lying, you don't have a fiancée".
Stuart cast a disdainful glance filled with nothing but coldness.
"Do I look like I have the leisure to joke around with you, Miss Vanessa?" Stuart asked.
"Only I deserve you. I know she did something to you, she must have threatened you, don't worry I'll save you" Vanessa said crazily.
"Miss Vanessa, do you not understand English or do you need me to speak in Spanish before...…."
Vanessa's scream cut off Stuart's words and with that she ran away covering her ears.
Stuart turned back to Eddie, his face filled with concern, now a striking difference to his cold demeanor earlier. He took Eddie's hand and asked.
"Are you hurt?"
Eddie jerked her hand free with anger written evidently on her face.
Stuart froze, remembering something his eyes flickered but he still maintained his expression.
"Have you forgotten our agreement?" Eddie asked with coldness in her tone.
Stuart felt uncomfortable with her tone, he could endure any other thing but not her coldness. He tried to hold her hand but she dodged and turned to go back.
Stuart cornered her against the wall trying to explain. Eddie's eyes were filled with coldness.
"You've broken the second rule, Mr. Gray"
Seriously, Stuart cringed at this new and somewhat distanced address. Was she really that angry?
"If you don't remember, I could perhaps refresh your memory, Mr. Gray".
"I know I'm sorry".
"You don't need to need to apologize, Mr. Gray. I understand that this relationship is for mutual benefit only".
Stuart touched his nose and looked at her speechlessly. For Christ's sake why was she angry? He just saved her from bullying and this is her reaction, no thank you or anything.
"If I may Mr. Gray please excuse me"
Stuart released her and she left immediately. He stood there with a dark face watching her hurried figure, one would think that she was running away from a plague. He stood there for a while not knowing what to do.
(For those that do not remember, the first rule was not to announce their relationship and the second rule was not to restrict her movement)

Vanessa was fuming with anger. "How dare that slut steal Stuart away from me? I'll make her pay".
Vanessa said with a twisted expression totally different from her pitiful and innocent appearance which was a bit terrifying.
Eddie was walking around while thinking to herself 'was my reaction too much.'
Lost in thought she bumped into someone again, this time falling and landing on her butt.
'Today is really an unlucky day'. Eddie thought to herself
"Are you okay?" A sweet soft voice sounded, looking up Eddie saw a beautiful lady looking at her. Eddie took her hand and stood up.
"Hello l am charlotte, Stuart's sister are you okay ?"
Eddie waved her hand."l am fine, thank you. I'm Eddie".
"Oh, you're my brother's fiancee, nice to meet you ".
Eddie froze, does everybody know l'm stuart.... Eddie couldn't bring herself to finish her thought, did she just admit it.
Wait ..... Stuart has a sister this big . As far as l know stuart didn't have a sister back then.
"I'm his elder sister, l was sent abroad to study". Charlotte said as if reading my thoughts.
I looked embarassed, did all my thoughts show on my face. I was even more confused did stuart have an elder sister back then, how come l never knew.
"Nevermind, let's go back, everyone is waiting for you". Charlotte said.
"Oh". It took Eddie a while for charlotte's words to sink in and when it did they were already at the door.
'What did Charlotte mean, did Stuart already announce my status to everyone'. Was this guy stupid or pretending to be stupid. Didn't he understand english when I said this relationship must not go public.
Eddie was really angry now. To think that I was being harsh on him, he totally deserved it. But what awaited her was different than she thought. When Eddie and Charlotte got in they went to greet Stuart's mom.
"You're the girl that's accompaning our little Stuart tonight, oh my our little Stuart has never brought any girl home". Stuart's mom said with excitement.
'Geez, little Stuart, seriously, that big guy is called little Stuart'. Eddie thought almost laughing out but she managed to keep it in.
Wait , that's not the focus, that was a whole load of information. I'm the first girl he has brought home and it turned out he told them I was accompaning him not his girl..... Did I almost say that word again, what's wrong with me, why am I admitting it over and over again.
"Oh, our little Stuart has arrived". Stuart's mom voice sounded again. Eddie's head jerked up, starting to feel guilty she'd misunderstood him.
"Okay um..."
"Oh dear, look at me I didn't introduce myself, I'm Stuart's mom, you can call me aunt Sarah".
"Oh, okay aunt Sarah".
"Good, very good little girl, let's go to the dining room".
