Xia Nuan laughed lightly and tried to pull her hand back, exaggerating deliberately just to tease Mina. It was just a few small red spots; she wasn't that delicate.
At that moment, Xicheng had already spotted those red marks on the back of her hand, quickly pinching her wrist with his fingers.
"It's already red, and you say it's nothing?"
He said, squeezing out some ointment and carefully applying it to the reddened spots on her hand with a cotton swab.
Watching his actions, Xia Nuan's expression froze slightly, and she pulled her hand back the moment he finished.
"Thanks!"
Xicheng glanced in the direction of the kitchen and noticed Mina looking over with a side glance. He looked up and smiled at her.
"Why be polite with me?"
He spoke in a gentle and ambiguous tone, as if indulging a lover.
With one hand propped on the armrest of the sofa, Xicheng slowly stood up, but didn't leave immediately. Instead, he leaned slightly toward Xia Nuan's face.
