The people waiting on the steps immediately stepped inside in twos and threes. After the previous smashing incident, everyone was quite nervous and ready to turn and run if things got rough.
However...
"What types of two-bedroom units do you have?" A woman around thirty loudly inquired.
"Ah... Oh!" A salesperson saw the interest, quickly approached, and enthusiastically explained, "We have three types of two-bedroom layouts. All are very reasonably arranged; it just depends on the location you prefer. Some are closer to the lake, where the air is fresh and quiet..."
While this conversation was happening, another elderly couple began to ask if there were any large three-bedroom units available.
The salespeople glanced at each other, instantly revived as if resurrected, and began to work with vigor.
Half an hour later, a young salesperson finally broke through the ice and completed the first sale of the day.
