Bai Cheng'an held back his laughter without looking at the menu, simply asking the waiter about the freshest ingredients of the day to complete the order.
After the waiter left, Qian Sisi got up, curiously wandered around the tatami room, and then came back to sit down: "We're just having some ramen, do we really need to come to such an expensive place?"
Bai Cheng'an was indifferent: "Eating at home all the time can get boring. Taking you out for something fresh, isn't that nice?"
"It is nice, but it's too expensive!" Qian Sisi counted on her fingers: "My monthly salary is only three thousand, and this meal can cost half of that. If I hadn't married you, I'd definitely be living paycheck to paycheck!"
Bai Cheng'an just smiled and said nothing.
Qian Sisi noticed he was acting a bit differently from usual, as if he had become one with the zen-like tatami room, having a sort of ethereal detachment.
