Hearing Sunday's report that the Americans were just now preparing to enter the Mummy Princess's tomb, William scoffed.
These guys move like snails.
By the time they finished their investigations and debated their next steps, days might have already passed.
"Deploy spider-bots into the tomb. We'll help them find the Mummy Princess faster.
"And since Set is technically a god… it's better if I have someone else do the fighting while I stay behind the scenes."
"Understood, sir."
As William played mahjong, he opened a portal in the ruins of the Sahara Desert base, linking it to his robot storage facility.
A spider-bot deployer soon emerged, flying discreetly through the night toward the tomb, a few hundred meters away.
Meanwhile, a six-man team of American soldiers had just begun rappelling into the tomb.
After reaching the tomb floor, they began setting up lights and broadcasting equipment.
By the time twelve spider-bots had fully mapped the tomb, the soldiers had only just finished assembling their lights and establishing communications with their base hundreds of kilometers away.
At the same time, multiple archaeologists from the U.S. had been brought into the call.
Initially, the experts were skeptical, thinking this was some kind of scam.
But once they saw the tomb's hieroglyphs and layout, they were so excited they started shouting, "My God!"
However, as they translated more inscriptions, the excitement faded into dead silence.
These men weren't idiots.
The texts made it clear—this wasn't a Pharaoh's burial chamber.
It was a prison.
And the thing locked inside was no ordinary being.
One by one, the experts began urging the military to abandon the site—
To bury the entire tomb in sand and leave it untouched forever.
But that idea was quickly shut down by others.
Because if they could extract the statues, artifacts, and wall carvings from this tomb and transport them to the U.S.—
Even at a conservative estimate, the material value alone could be worth billions.
And if they turned it into a museum, the cultural and historical value would be immeasurable.
As for whether they should return these artifacts to Egypt?
Not a single person in the room entertained the idea.
—
While the Americans were busy debating their looting strategy, William sat in his manor, preparing to eat dinner.
"Sunday, release the Mummy Princess."
He casually took off his smart glasses—
No need to watch the gruesome details unfold while eating.
—
So, while William peacefully enjoyed dinner with his mother and four women, his spider-bots activated the tomb's mechanisms.
The Mummy Princess's sarcophagus began rising from the mercury pool at the tomb's center.
Before she even had a chance to use her mind control, her golden coffin was already fully exposed.
At that moment, the greedy Americans forgot all about their concerns.
This solid gold coffin was comparable to King Tut's tomb.
The sheer gold content alone was at least 10 tons, worth over $200 million.
And if you added its historical significance, its total value could start at $1 billion.
There was no more discussion—the U.S. military immediately ordered its extraction.
Using a CH-47 Chinook helicopter, they lifted the 10-ton sarcophagus and transported it to a base 400 kilometers away, where it would be loaded onto a cargo plane bound for the U.S.
By the time the transport took off, it was already 11 PM.
—
Just as William was starting to grow impatient, Sunday reported an unexpected development—
"Sir, our Mars base is under attack by the superpowered entity you labeled 'Space Karen'.
"She is currently freeing the 11 Skrulls in cryo-sleep."
Captain Marvel went straight to Mars?!
No wonder she never showed up in London—she had gone silent and snuck off to rescue the Skrulls instead.
William chuckled.
"Did you really think I'd let you rescue them so easily? How would I ever face you again?"
With a smirk, he motioned for Nissa to take over his mahjong seat, stood up, and casually walked to the liquor cabinet.
Pouring himself a drink, he entered the dining room while simultaneously activating the Space Stone's power, linking his mind to the Mars settlement's coordinates.
Since he had previously traveled there, the spatial connection was easy to establish.
Inside the Martian cryo-chamber, Captain Marvel watched in shock as the 11 Skrull pods—
Vanished.
Right before her eyes.
One after another.
And there was nothing she could do to stop it.
In a burst of rage, she unleashed an energy explosion, melting everything around her.
But deep down, her fear of William skyrocketed.
This level of teleportation was beyond anything she had ever encountered.
It was even more dangerous than any Kree technology she had seen.
—
Of course, Carol had no idea that William's abilities weren't limitless.
He couldn't just teleport anywhere in the universe at will.
He needed to have been there before, or at least have a clear mental image of the location.
If she had simply taken the Skrulls onto her ship and left Mars, William wouldn't have been able to retrieve them so effortlessly.
But she didn't know that.
Instead, as she struggled to come up with a new plan, she realized something unsettling—
With this kind of teleportation ability, no one could ever truly catch William.
Even if she tried to fight or capture him, he would always disappear in an instant.
This left her with only one option—
Negotiation.
—
Just as she was about to return to Earth, a golden, glowing portal opened before her.
She hesitated for a moment—then heard William's voice.
"Miss Danvers, if you still have any attachment to Earth, I suggest you clean up your mess before thinking about rescuing those infiltrating aliens."
She didn't need to ask who was speaking—it was obviously William.
While they were on opposing sides, she couldn't help but respect his power.
"What mess?" she retorted.
William smirked and lied without hesitation—
"Congratulations, Miss Danvers.
"Thanks to your reckless destruction of my sealed containment facility, you've accidentally released a monster that has been imprisoned for 5,000 years.
"And the U.S. military, in their infinite wisdom, is transporting it back home right now.
"If you don't want innocent people to die because of your mistake, you'd better return to Earth immediately—
"And burn that damned mummy to ash."
Carol clenched her fists in frustration, her knuckles cracking audibly.
She hated his condescending tone.
She hated the way he spoke as if he were giving orders.
But instead of arguing—she lowered her head in thought.
After a few seconds, she made a decision—
With a burst of energy, she blasted through the portal—
Emerging not in London, but just outside the city—
At an abandoned vampire manor.
