Chapter 5 - chapter 5

Jack looked up from where he laid on the ground. He slowly stood up with his sword by his side. His armor still intact even after his battle through his banishment, and arena battles.

The arena battles were a place where the knights of gwyn spar and is mainly used for Bloodsport.

Since killing and maiming were permitted, the knights would always fight for the souls of their enemies to make themselves stronger.

That was another reason people were significantly taller and bigger than our dear Jack.

Jack may get their souls, but he was a mere mortal, unable to use the souls to increase his strength. He needed a maiden, or a fire keeper if you will, and those were a rarity.

Jack shrugged the snow off his armor and hair before walking slowly through the snowy mountain that lacked any true life.

There were corpses littered around, frozen because of the environment. A crow could be heard in the distance and Jack let out a soft smile.

"Hello to you velka," Jack said before looking up to the crow that was observing him from the trees.

*Caw caw*

The crow chirped before taking off in the sky circling Jack before leaving a certain distance away.

Jack laughed before shaking his head in amusement.

"Classic" Jack said before picking up a jog as he followed the crow.

....

Arrows fell up on Jack as he hid behind a rock. Jack used his sword as a reflection to see the enemies position.

"cant we talk this out" Jack yelled as he pulled an arrow out of his knee, but he only heard jibberish as another arrow stuck to the tree next to him.

Jack used a miracle to heal his wound before pulling out a throwing knife and throwing it letting it impale in the archers arm, preventing him from being able to shoot anymore.

The knife impaled itself into the archers arm, and Jack made his way to the front of the gate, and with some difficulty pushed it open.

When he entered, he froze, and In front of him were villagers.

The men standing in front of the women and children with swords that were shaking. Then it hit him... He was the villain.

" Gst awhay monshter," one of the villagers yelled, clearly getting some confidence.

Jack had never heard the language they spoke, but he was able to understand from their body language and through their distorted tounge.

Jack laid down his helberg and raised his hands in surrender. He stayed calm and let the men remove his armor, and tie his hands behind his back.

He followed them willingly as they lead him through a bridge and through a gate leading to a child with white hair.

"Oh...fuck," Jack said shifting nervously as he watch the childs face all but light up as she rushed him with a hug.

"Jack," the girl said all but tackling him to the ground.

"Hello to you to Priscilla," Jack smiled, though he could feel his life force being drained the longer she held him.

Jack broke the rope that had held him before gently placing her down on the ground.

"What are you doing here. You shouldn't be here," Priscilla said.

Jack smiled before coughing slightly, embarrassed for a moment.

"...gywn," he shrugged.

"Ah... That makes a surprising amount of sense," Priscilla said before sitting down in the snow.

"Yeah, got caught catching some bad people and got framed. Not much of a story." Jack said.

Priscilla dismissed the man that had brought Jack, and Jack just laid on the ground while looking up at the sky.

"It's because your human. Gwyn fears those who have to much power. He fears you could lead the humans to do something great, like leading the humans to rebel against him," she said.

"You always were a smart one. But i suppose i could use this long needed vacation. After having to survive the arena," Jack smiled

"I thought the arena was a place for the prisoners to fight with the knights of Gwyn. Why would yo-.... Oh," little Priscilla's eyes widened.

"Yup. Originally I was to fight in the arena until my death. But as I kept killing his knights, Gwyn ordered me to be sealed inside the painting. Neet huh" Jack smiled.

She all but gapped at him before smacking his arm but with the strength of a 12 year old girl. But there went another hour in his life.

"Do you think being trapped in here is a vacation? Do you seriously not see the problem? You can't escape here. It's impossible," she said.

Jack smiled and gently punched her chubby little cheek.

"Of course there's a way out. I know of it of course, but it will be dangerous for someone like you. Meanwhile I can and will escape. I can get you out of this place though... After I deal with Gwyn and his knights," Jack said though it wasn't as confident as before.

Yeah jack knew that was next to impossible, but he did have a couple ways to deal with the knights, but gwyn was a whole different problem.

"No, I don't like the look in your eyes. Your going to rekindle the great prank war of 76 aren't you," she hissed.

Jack laughed, and stood up. He grabbed his armor and made his way to the ledge.

"I'll be back my little mistress of death. But now I have a prank war to rekindle," Jack said before falling back and leaving the painting of ariamas.

"No you idiot. That's why the gods hate you," she said shaking her head.
