Far above the broken remains of Ganymede, a pale green light hovered amidst drifting space rock and glinting debris. His Tenseigan a cold, sovereign orb of divine chakra glowed ominously within Toneri's eye as he stared down at the dark figure standing atop a crater that now split the Jovian moon nearly in half.
Darkseid stood motionless, his body raked with wounds that bled molten ichor, each small compared to his monstrous frame, yet undeniable.
Toneri smiled. A small, knowing curl of the lips. Neither mocking nor taunting but he was amused, 'I'm enjoying this more than I'm supposed to aren't I?'
That smile irked the Dark God.
And then Darkseid smiled back.
A slow, deliberate curl of his lips feral and cruel revealing teeth like mountain ridges. That grin made Toneri frown. His body tensed. He didn't like unknowns.
Then Darkseid vanished.
BOOM—
A shockwave without sound screamed across the vacuum a distortion of raw gravitational force that made nearby debris vibrate violently.
From where Darkseid had stood, the surface cratered imploded, as if space itself collapsed from the sheer force of his departure. And before Toneri could even react.
CRACK!
A colossal fist, lined with jagged, obsidian-like armor, collided with Toneri's chest. The strike was so titanic, so utterly obscene, it would have shattered continents had it landed on Earth. Toneri's body arched violently, sent careening backward, trailing destruction in his wake as fragments of shattered Ganymede drifted apart like glass in zero gravity.
But before momentum could carry him far, Toneri's flung his arm away seemingly deflecting what Darkseid could see to be a spherical…debris? But before he could properly observe it properly he saw Lunaris hands clasped in an instant. Darkseid closed the distance between them.
"Shinra Tensei." The void pulsed.
Toneri released a repulsive shock between himself and the dark god, a sudden bloom of silvery gravity that forcefully widened the space between their bodies, propelling him backward even as he stabilized.
With a whip of his cloak and a savage burst of chakra, Toneri launched forward again, both palms now coated in a volatile dance of Explosion Style fused with Sage Chakra. The energy flickered, flared, and pulsed violently, tiny detonations popping in rhythmic sparks along his skin like mini-supernovas.
As he closed in, his arms moved. Not wildly but in a pattern of tight centerline barrage, elbows tight, forearms snaking in short, violent arcs, every movement controlled, lethal.
Toneri's fists shot forward as they both landed on Ganymede, Toneri punched forward then sideways, deflecting with short arcs before launching straight-line thrusts reinforced with devastating internal force.
He twisted between blows, striking at what he assumed were pressure points on the gods body with Gentle Fist, his palms flaring with chakra as they struck air and ruptured it each hit forming massive spherical shockwaves in space, cracks of condensed vacuum ripping out and collapsing in on themselves.
Darkseid met him strike-for-strike.
The dark god's fists blurred, every motion backed by raw might and celestial mastery. His counters were thunderous. Devastating. Arms like tectonic pillars crushed Toneri's strikes back, even as their shockwaves cracked more of the moon beneath them, sending mile-long fractures into its crust.
But Toneri was faster. Smarter. More precise.
He ducked under a haymaker and drove both palms into Darkseid's abdomen. The explosion that followed ripped open the remains of Ganymede's midsection. But before he could follow up.
CRACK!
Darkseid slammed a hammer-fist into Toneri's shoulder, sending him hurtling back, smashing through debris, his momentum enough to shatter the rest of Ganymede into drifting space rocks.
But Toneri wasn't done.
He spun mid-air chakra crackling in threads around him. His hand extended, "Banshō Ten'in!"
"Get over here!!"
A gravitational pull surged from his palm. The space around Darkseid distorted, the god lurching forward against his will as if reeled in by the very fabric of the universe.
Toneri's hands shifted the volatile chakra coating them changing form. The Explosion Style faded into a fine sheen of Particle Style, while his elbow steamed, glowing violently with Swift and Steam Style fusion. The space bent around it and light itself trembled.
A moon-shattering punch, timed with surgical cruelty, shot forward. But Darkseid's hand rose.
At light-speed.
The instant their fists collided, a blinding white flash erupted so intense that color ceased to exist. The shockwave obliterated what remained of Ganymede, reducing the Jovian moon to space dust, vaporizing mountains of rock into silent clouds of glowing ash.
Darkseid stumbled back an impossibility that seemed to have become a natural occurrence. He, the immovable god, was forced back again and again by this boy.
Toneri, flung by the recoil, twisted then vanished.
Reappearing behind Darkseid in an instant with the aid of the hiraishin marker placed behind the damn god, chakra swirling around his legs, he spun mid-air to deliver a devastating roundhouse kick to the god's ribs
Only for Darkseid to snatch his ankle mid-spin, a smirk carved into his face
And fling him at light speed.
Toneri rocketed through the void, space igniting around him as he approached Io, his hands moved apart sending something flying away from both his palms as crashed, the most volcanically active body in the solar system.
He crashed.
The sulfur-covered landscape of Io erupted, lava and gas exploding outward as a massive crater formed where Toneri struck, molten lakes boiling away instantly.
Lying in the searing crater, Toneri coughed once. Steam hissed off his skin as all of his wounds healed and vanished. He was already rising. Then he sensed him.
Darkseid. Drawing near.
Toneri stood slowly. His Tenseigan flared, burning bright like a god-star. And then… he tried something. Something that had failed before.
He focused a massive amount of chakra which caused his surrounding space to buckle.
The void around them dimmed. Space began to slow to a crawl, the stars bleeding into greyscale. Even the color of lava cooled into muted amber.
His chakra dropped sharply. His energy waned this was taxing. But it worked.
Darkseid was slowing.
Time itself was slowing.
Toneri wrapped himself in a super-compressed Shinra Tensei shell, encasing his frame in a field of divine repulsion. With speed that bent the slowed timeline, he lunged' "Gentle Step: Thousand Auspicious Omens!"
His foot collided with the god's chin and the result was cataclysmic.
A vertical blast erased the crust beneath his feet. Io shattered again, fragments suspended in stilled time like a museum of obliteration.
Only Toneri moved.
And Darkseid starting to regain his movement.
Hamura's teachings echoed in his mind. The Dragon Palace. The oh so brutal lessons and beating he had to endure. The laws of divine taijutsu.
And then reality snapped back.
The concept of Color returned. The moon cracked and bled. Lava flowed again.
Darkseid was flung upward fired like a missile into the skies. Toneri was after him in an instant.
He shot upward, arms moving in a rapid series of precise, machine-gun punches, each one a Shinra Tensei burst, hammering Darkseid without pause, without letting him breathe.
And then Darkseid slammed his palm onto his belt. A Boom Tube roared open behind him.
Toneri's eyes widened. "No!"
But it was too late. Darkseid vanished into the portal.
Toneri's Tenseigan scanned his immediate space instantly, his vision zooming past Mars, through orbit and directly to Earth.
'Nothing.'
He reached out with his senses chakra and space. Still nothing.
BOOM.
A cosmic distortion. Space warped like heated glass. A rift yawned before him.
And then
A massive hand, large as a continent, surged out from the void. It moved at a speed that shouldn't have been possible for something of its scale.
Toneri tried to move but he couldn't.
Space had warped.
The distance between him and the hand no longer existed. It wasn't there.
Then impact.
The hand connected, slamming into Toneri's body with the force of cosmic punishment. He didn't even scream. He couldn't. His organs exploded internally, crushed like a bug beneath a war hammer.
His bones bent. Skin split.
The force was so immense that it carried on destroying Amalthea, What remained of Io was obliterated, Himalia, Elara, Pasiphae, Sinope, Lysithea, Carme, Ananke, and Leda all shattered into fragments.
A ring of dust and molten moons now orbited Jupiter trailing behind the hand that finally retracted… back through the portal.
