In the present day of the kingdom of Elderith, Creo Creatorius, also known by his epithet, "the Creator", became the new ruler of Elderith.
Ten months after the war, Creo was popular amongst the people of Elderith due to his heroic deeds and charisma, he became the new ruler and ruled the throne.
The news began to spread like wildfire, different parts of the kingdom had heard of his election and even reached towards other powerful kingdoms.
Oskar acting as his advisor and consultant could not control his emotions. "I'm glad to see my best friend reaching this far...it's like the premise of a fairy tale, an unlikely boy from a low level becomes a hero that saves the day..." He laughed with joy.
Amara who now wore noblewoman's clothes, appeared with a warm smile on her face. "You're not wrong with that, but damn, it felt like yesterday when we were fighting to free the kingdom from Odopholis' hands, now he's the king of the very kingdom he helped save..."
Amongst the soldiers present in his coronation ceremony was Athena who now had longer hair, she was now a brigadier rank in the Elderithian military, she looked at him with admiration and respect.
She muttered to herself. "It's quite admirable to think he's come this far and now that he's the king of our homeland, I do wonder how much he will do for the kingdom..."
She sighed softly, she felt a feeling of uneasyness and looked down. "But I just can't help but feel a bit of worry that he will become overburdened and lead him down a path of misery..."
She looked back up and tried to put on a smile. "I shouldn't be thinking of thing like that's I should be happy for him but i can't help find it hard to suppress..."
He was celebrated by his people after being crowned, after that he entered his throne room where he went to gaze outside of his window, his eyes lingering around the whole kingdom.
As time passes by, in a span of seven months Creo had done a couple of significant things that have provided a lot of benefits for the people, when the walls were broken, he built them, when the roads were broken, he paved them, he helped in giving the people different professions in order to provide for the family, forming alliances with other kingdoms and implementing different laws in the kingdom.
But one day, everything seemed ordinary as usual but little did he know, he was unaware of the coming danger that will happen to him shortly.
Suddenly there can be sounds of clinking armor heard through the hall as a group of shadowy figures emerged from the darkness. Their identities were hidden behind their solemn masks.
The atmosphere began to change, the castle began to be filled with the gust of the cold, numbing and piercing air, setting the tone of a battle that is about to begin.
King Creo of Elderith, your reign ends here tonight!" The mysterious leader of the group proclaimed, he smirked as he casually pointed his weapon towards Creo's throat.
"Who are you and why do you dare threaten the peace of my kingdom?" Creo questioned as he was determined to get up.
"Who are we, hahaha?" The mysterious leader laughs at Creo's question, amused by his response.
"We are Pawns, those who operate within the shadows, we believe that your people's foolish mistake in electing you as their new ruler, makes you one of our prime targets!" The Pawn leader declared as he threatened Creo.
Creo starts to laugh at the group of Pawns after listening to their claim.
"What's so funny? King of Elderith?" The Pawn soldier shouted, bewildered by Creo's unfazed reaction.
"Oh, it's just that..." Creo stated as he started getting up from the floor.
"You underestimate the strength of my kingdom and the will of its people!" Creo proclaimed as he proceeded to grab and draw his sword towards his enemy.
The room erupts in chaos as both Creo and the Pawns attack one another, as their swords clash with one another, the loud noise of chaos can be heard across the castle.
"King Creo of Elderith, our demand is but a simple request, tell us the location of the Aethereal Dreamstone Crystal and your life shall be spared." The Pawn leader replied as he smirked, pointing his sword at Creo.
"I know nothing of this crystal you speak of, what madness is this? Let me go!" Creo exclaimed defying the orders of his enemies, disarming them of their weapons.
As Creo is cornered and denying every single ounce of any knowledge he has whatsoever, the tension starts to escalate with it leading to a clash of blades and Creo using his powers upon them, knocking back some of the other Pawn soldiers.
But just as the confrontation started to build up its critical and anticipating point, the castle guards burst inside Creo's room with their armor clattering.
"Halt! Intruders stand down or face the consequences of the Elderith military!" The castle guard rebuked, drawing out their weapons, preparing for battle.
This prompts the Pawns to skillfully retreat and flee the scene leaving both King Creo and his castle guards in a state of bewilderment.
"Are you ok, Your Highness? Did you sustain injuries or whatsoever?" The castle guard asked him with a concerned look.
"No need to be in a state of concern, I did not sustain any injuries or whatsoever, I simply didn't expect the sudden harm out into my life earlier from those masked men." Creo replied as he was getting up slowly, grabbing the hands of the knights for support.
"But they were wrong to mess with me, they had no idea who they had just angered." Creo stated, his eyes began to light up with anger.
After that incident, it was at that moment that made King Creo think that ever since that he had become the newly appointed king of Elderith, he will start to experience some threats and become targeted by people such as the Pawns from earlier.
But there was something else that piqued his interest, the mysterious assailants mentioned of an artifact he had never heard before in his entire life until that moment, the words never left his mind: The Aethereal Dreamstone Crystal.
He had lots of questions inside his head but he knew that if he wanted them to be answered, then he would have to seek records about it.
In the search for answers, he went to visit Amara's house, hoping that she will help him provide some answers about the artifact.
He knocked on the door, after two tries, Amara opened the door for him, her appearance was a little disheveled, she looked at him with a surprised but welcoming expression.
As he walked inside of Amara's house, he notices some books laying around the ground, torn pages were scattered and everything smelled like the scent of candle wax.
Amada simply shrugged it off, unbothered by the mess she has in her house, offering Creo to sit down.
She went to the kitchen, scrambling around to find what to offer Creo, she eventually settled to get him some tea.
"Care for some tea?" She asked whilst pouring the tea in his cup.
Creo replied. "Hmph, there's no need for you to show a high level of hospitality, for I am not here as the king but as an old comrade..." He leaned back, letting out a soft sigh.
She rolled her eyes and said. "And yet I remember four months ago of you talking about the significance of hospitality and how we should treat others with such courtesy." She looked at him with a teasing look.
Creo was stunned but couldn't help but laugh. "I didn't expect my own words to be used against me, and yet I find it somehow amusing..."
Amara softly sighed and set down her cup, she crossed her legs and leaned back, her expression was serious and calm. "I'm sure you're not just here to catch up, judging by the look on your eyes, I feel like I have something of interest to you..."
Creo was stunned a little, he didn't know how to respond to Amara, but he knows that what she said is right.
"Well you know that we both don't have all day, so tell me what you really want?" She asked, her patience going down every single second.
Creo cleared his voice and said. "Earlier, I was suddenly ambushed by a group of assailants who called themselves Pawns, they've cornered me and began talking about some sort of artifact..."
Amara's expression changed, her eyes were filled with curiosity and leaned closer to hear more.
He replied. "They called it the Aethereal Dreamstone Crystal, and honestly that's the first time I've ever heard of the crystal in my entire life, so I decided to ask you about it, hoping you'd probably have at least certain knowledge about the artifact..."
Amara got up from her chair and went around the pile of books, scrambling around in a frantic way until she found the book she was looking for. "I wouldn't say I have exact knowledge but I have heard about it before, I remember reading a book about mystical artifacts and stumbled upon it..."
She continued. "Legend has it that this sacred artifact is used to grant a user it's wish whether for pure or evil intentions..."
Creo, intrigued by this discovery, began to try to connect the dots. "To simply put it, they think that I want to get the crystal and think I'll use it's power for my own personal intentions?"
Amara nodded her head. "That's the most likeliest possibility I could ever think of, but you have said that it isn't in your possession, nonetheless I don't think they would stop until they've gotten it in their hands..."
Creo stood up from his chair and said. "I appreciate it, although my answers weren't completely answered, it has definitely given me a lead on what I'll do about it..."
After the visit at Amara's house, he realized that he is going to need a team of people, a guild to be exact to ensure that the kingdom of Elderith will maintain safety and peace, so he decided to come up with a team known as the Dream Preservers!
"I shall name this guild under this name as dedication in search for this mythical crystal, and in dedication to use it and make sure that the hopes and dreams of people remain alive and never die!" Creo exclaimed as he grew determined about his quest.
After that, he decided to go to his armory, this is where he puts his most prized possessions and displays them in a secret room as trophies or a part of his collection.
"These tools have never been in use for a while but I guess this is the right time to use these toys because it's time for my resurgence!" Creo stated as he entered his room and picked out his selected tools.
The tools that he chose are his most prized metal gauntlets that he hasn't used since the Eldenmore War, he equips it into his hands, and they illuminated a bright, luminous blue glow upon wearing them.
The next thing he looked for was his weapon, he went to grab his most treasured sword and proceeded to place it at the back of his coat.
And he wears a different belt with lots of pouches where he puts various things inside the pocket, that even I have no idea what's inside of them.
"Alright it's settled then, it's time I experience this feeling again, the feeling of an adventure that I don't know what's up ahead, for the first time, it's time to begin my journey." Creo exclaimed as he finished equipping his arsenal.
And so after that day, Creo went on to leave his armory and his castle, and he began to plan his search for people who would be willing to join or help him in his cause and would help him find the fabled Aethereal Dreamstone Crystal.
"It's time, enemies around the world beware, for the Creator has returned and this time he's not sitting around and ready to rumble!" Creo said in a state of excitement and walks across the kingdom looking for people around him.
