As Shibai looked at Kurama, he gave a small smile.
"Let me show you," he said, then snapped his fingers.
Suddenly, a wave of memories hit Kurama.
Images, thoughts, feelings—it all rushed into his mind. Everything Arata had been through until now… Kurama saw it all.
His eyes widened.
"So… you're not from this world," Kurama said looking at Arata slowly. "You came here... and you're trying to protect us? Bring peace?"
He looked at Arata with surprise—and a bit of understanding.
"And that weird system thing in your head," Kurama continued, "it gives you powers… powers almost like my old man's."
He narrowed his eyes.
"Now I get how you knew my name," he said with a half-shocked, half-annoyed face.
It was a lot to take in, but Kurama looked a bit calmer now. Still confused, sure—but not ready to fight.
Then he turned his head to Shibai.
"You told me all this... and showed me stuff too," Kurama said. "But aren't you supposed to be... y'know... the god of the Ōtsutsuki? The one who devoured tons of beings?"
His eyes narrowed again, and his tails flicked nervously behind him.
"Why are you even here?" Kurama asked. "Are you gonna absorb me next?"
He stepped back a little. He didn't like it, but he was scared. Deep down, he knew the truth—he couldn't beat Shibai Ōtsutsuki.
Even if he gave all his power to Arata, it wouldn't be enough. Not against someone like this.
Their chance of winning? Almost zero.
But Shibai just smiled.
"No, that's not it, Kurama," he said calmly. "You're right to be cautious. But hear me out."
He turned his gaze to Arata.
"Yes," he said. "I'm the one who reincarnated you. And yes... I also reincarnate the Sage of Six Paths—but in another timeline."
Kurama's ears twitched. He wanted to ask something about his father, Hagoromo… but he stayed quiet and listened.
Shibai's smile faded a bit as he kept talking.
"At first... yeah, I used to absorb planets," he said. "I loved the power I got from it. That feeling… when I consumed a planet's energy… it was like nothing else."
He looked down, expression darkening.
"I felt stronger than anyone. I felt peace... in a weird way. Like I didn't need anything else. I felt superior—to my peers, to time, to death. That hunger... it drove me."
He paused, then added, "That's when I created the Karma technique."
Both Kurama and Arata tensed up.
"Karma…?" Arata asked, voice a little shaky.
"So…" he said slowly, "you're planning to make me absorb this planet's chakra next?"
He took a step back, eyes watching Shibai carefully.
But Shibai just raised a hand and shook his head.
"Let me finish," he said.
"And no," Shibai said calmly, "I wasn't planning to give you my Karma or anything like that. And I never wanted you to absorb this planet either. "
He looked serious now, his expression dark.
"Let me finish, just hear me out, child."
Arata and Kurama stayed quiet.
"As I said, back then… yeah, I enjoyed it. The feeling of being above everything, the power I got from eating chakra fruits, absorbing planets. It made me feel... like I was unbeatable," Shibai continued.
"I kept going. One planet… then a thousand. Then twenty thousand. Fifty thousand. One hundred thousand. Then full galaxies. One galaxy… two… three… eventually, I absorbed ten galaxies."
Arata's eyes widened. Kurama's tails twitched.
Shibai kept going, voice steady but heavy.
"Then came the final fruit. The last chakra root. When I ate that… everything changed. I had to go through the final step. The one everyone must face to reach true godhood."
His eyes narrowed as he spoke.
"When I ate that fruit, I saw everything. I felt everything. I didn't just see the lives I destroyed—I became them. Every soul, every being I absorbed across ten galaxies… I lived their emotions."
Arata's throat went dry.
"I lived through the pain of a child watching his father die… the sorrow of a mother losing her child… the anger of a brother betrayed… the hopelessness of a warrior who fought and failed. I didn't feel it once. I felt it septillions of times. I felt it over and over, like punishment. Like judgment."
Kurama couldn't move. He could barely breathe.[He forget he don't need to Breathe ]
"I lived quadrillions of lives, feeling all that pain. Every scream. Every tear. Every loss. Again and again. That's how I became a god," Shibai said, finishing with a whisper.
Then he let out a dry, hollow laugh.
"Powerful, huh?"
Even that laugh made the air feel heavy.
Arata didn't know what to say. He just stood there, frozen. Kurama was shaking a little, his body stiff. For once, the mighty Tailed Beast felt small.
Kurama glanced at Arata. He had his memories now. He knew how powerful Shibai really was. And the truth hit him harder than any Rasengan or Tailed Beast Bomb.
