"Oh no, It's alright Jin. It is our duty as this Manor's maid to complete the tasks that Roswaal leaves us." Rem responded politely.
But I shook my head and said.
"I insist, I wanna make it up for disturbing the sleep of the both of you, not as a guest disturbing your sleep, but as a friend."
Well, more than that, but I can't constantly tell them that I'm wooing one, or I guess by now, the two of them, right?

We arrived at the front of the manor not long after, Ram was still stuck to me, using me as a support.
I didn't want to wake her up so I asked Rem to lead us towards Ram's room so we can tuck her in.
Rem smiled gently after hearing this and nodded before she led me towards the servant quarters where I was finally let go by Ram as she slept soundly in her mattress.
We slipped out of the room quietly, so as to not wake the sleeping beauty up. Once outside, Rem unexpectedly lowered her head.

"I- No problem, Rem." I replied with a smile while I shook my head.
I didn't wanna add anything unnecessary or say "It's nothing" because for Rem, her sister is the most important person in the world, and vise versa.
I kneeled in front of her and took her hands before standing up again. Rem tilted her head wondering why I did that.
I smiled.
"You don't need to lower your head Rem, I know you love your sister the most in the world, and as someone who promised to make you happy, it's one of my duties to treat your most important person in the world with care.
So don't worry about it, because this isn't the start. I said it myself, right? I'll make you fall for me harder than a falling meteor from the outer space.
Now let's go, you still need to lead me to my room, remember?" I ended my words with a toothy grin before I walked back towards the main corridors.
Rem caught up not long after with a little smile on her face. But it's different from her previous formal face, it's more natural. Seeing this, I cheered inside my head as I knew that I finally had her open up to me, somewhat at the very least.
Even if it's only a little bit, it's a start nonetheless.
At least, that's what I hope so.

After that brief rendezvous, Rem finally led me towards the corridors where guests room lined up, one after another.
Rem asked me to choose one, so I chose the nearest room. I thanked Rem, but she shook her head, saying it's her duty once more, and I smiled at this, because Rem's professionalism is one of her most admirable traits.

Seeing her parting figure, I closed the door and went to the bed to settle myself in.
I laid down in the bed after removing my shoes then changing into clean clothes.
afterwards, I thought about everything that happened these past few days.
Obtaining the system, meeting Jinwoo and chatting with what were once just fantasy characters in my first life.
Meeting everyone in the village, the kids and meeting Rem and Ram.
Getting both Phi and Kyomu.
And tonight, fighting with Roswaal, as Phi awakened, and lastly having Steak and fries as dinner with Ram before meeting Rem once more and having what I at least like to think a heart to heart talk.
It honestly just felt surreal…
As in my first life, I could only watch Rem and the others as they go through suffering in the first few seasons of the anime I have watched.
I honestly regret not reading the Novel because I might have known more about this world than I did right now.

So, although Roswaal seemed to look amiable right now, I need to watch out for whatever schemes he has.
Afterall, I'm not Subaru, If Roswaal and I enter in some kind of conflict, I would only loose in every scenario.
And I can't afford that. Not unless I get everyone else's support in the manor. Rem,Ram, Beatrice,Puck, and Emilia.
