Ten years have passed in the blink of an eye.
During these ten years, excluding those small-scale conflicts resolved internally on stars, the Alliance has gone through three relatively large-scale wars.
Fortunately, none of these three wars were fought against the Central Empire.
That's quite rare.
Even though ten years ago, a series of new treaties were signed between the Empire and the Alliance, pulling both sides back from the brink of war during their most critical moments.
However, anyone with foresight can acknowledge that the conflicts between the Alliance and the Central Empire have not been resolved. That series of agreements were filled with compromises, essentially just slightly easing the tensions but not solving the fundamental issues.
The core conflicts still remain; once suppressed this time, they will only erupt more violently when they cannot be contained the next time.
It seems that only war can serve as the ultimate resolution to all conflicts.
