The human captives were originally more than just this number. This time they hit the jackpot, raiding more than a dozen ships and brought them all back to this temporary base. Among those dozen ships, there was a large batch of crew alone, not to mention the vast number of immigrants hitching a ride.
However, after their raided ships arrived at this location, within less than ten days, most of them were killed.
There was no resistance.
The unarmed human captives didn't have much means of resistance in the first place. A few heavily resisting armed merchant ships were destroyed, turning into space debris; those captured were infiltrated by the Dark Spirit Race with their Blood Slaves, who stormed inside the ships, slaughtered the armed guards, then introduced specially-made drugs into several internal air circulation systems throughout the ship, knocking everyone out, easily completing the captives' work.
