Malin walked in the subway for a full ten days, everywhere he went, the sight was full of scars. There used to be one refuge and settlement after another in the subway, but they were eventually destroyed by Chaos, leaving only wraiths and zombies all over the ground.
Malin tirelessly purified, because from time to time some fortunately preserved diaries could be found. In these diaries, some survivors had fled before the Chaos sieged the city. Some survivors went east, they had speeders, seemingly aiming to cross Siberia to the Far East.
To Malin, such actions were not much different from suicide. Without sufficient supplies, their 'journey' was no different from courting death.
