Chapter 223 - 222 Did You Miss Me

After two days, Yun Wuji looked at the pile of women asleep in the Golden Crow's Ancestral Land and shook his head. What started as a night with the three turned chaotic when his other wives barged in halfway through.

Huan Caiyi came first, and then the rest followed one after another.

They ended up going at it nonstop for two full days, until none of them could move anymore.

Yun Wuji channeled his profound energy, cleaned himself up, threw on fresh clothes, and teleported away.

He didn't return to Yun Palace or the Demon Imperial City. Instead, he went far away, teleporting directly to the Azure Cloud Continent. After all, the main reason he'd come back wasn't just to fuck his wives...

...Well, maybe it was.

But the other important reason was to fuse You'er with Hong'er and take her with him.

After all, one thing that had always been on his mind, weighing on him, was getting that little girl out of that dark place. He had always felt guilty for leaving her alone in the darkness.

Looking at the Azure Cloud Continent below, Yun Wuji thought with amusement, "Can this be considered returning home in glory?"

Like it or not, the Azure Cloud Continent was his birthplace, his 'hometown.' Yun Wuji crossed his arms and scratched his chin as he muttered, "Too bad I don't have any family members here anymore. Otherwise, I could try out those cliché 'face-slapping' scenarios..."

Yun Wuji couldn't help but recall the novels he'd read in his past life. There was always that cliché scenario where the MC returns to his hometown and, for some godforsaken reason, tries to keep a low profile, usually at some New Year's gathering where all the relatives would gather to look down on him while fawning over some random asshole who always made a dramatic late entrance.

These idiots would inevitably pick a fight with the MC and try to kick him out. Then, as if by magic, that very important person they'd been sucking up to would appear and immediately recognize the MC. He'd say something like: "My Lord! This humble one is honored to see you! Please accept my deepest bow!" before prostrating himself on the ground.

The entire crowd would be shocked and speechless. All those who had looked down on the MC would instantly regret their lives, and suddenly, everyone would be tripping over themselves to lick his boots. Finally, the MC would deliver that same stupid line: "It seems I can't keep a low profile anymore."

"Fuck, that's too disgusting!" Just recalling the amount of trash novels he had read in his past life, Yun Wuji felt the urge to throw up.

"What's disgusting you? Hmm?" Right at that moment, Mu Bingyun's ethereal voice sounded in his ear, startling him.

"When did you get here?" Yun Wuji barely controlled his body's instinctive urge to throw a punch at her as he asked.

He had been so occupied reminiscing about the past, and with her cultivation being much higher than his, he hadn't noticed her presence until she spoke.

"I sensed that you left both continents and came to see what you were doing," Mu Bingyun smiled at his reaction and explained.

She had developed this habit over the past months he'd been in the Snow Song Realm. Whenever Yun Wuji wasn't in the Ice Phoenix Palace or the Sacred Region, Mu Bingyun would always look for him, almost as if she were afraid something might accidentally happen to him.

The main reason she came with him to the Blue Pole Star was because she didn't want him out of her sight. Seeing the current state of the Frozen Cloud Palace was secondary.

And it definitely wasn't because she couldn't bear to miss his cooking! Absolutely, 100% not the reason!

She always acted like an overprotective Onee-san, or maybe even a mother with an excessive son complex. This became especially true after learning that he was being hunted by Qianye Ying'er. She grew even more protective, fearing that he might accidentally expose himself to other sect members.

Not long after 'dual cultivated' with Mu Xuanyin, Yun Wuji revealed his true appearance to Mu Bingyun and confided in her about everything that had happened with Qianye Ying'er. Of course, he only told Mu Bingyun, he kept his secret tightly guarded from that airheaded Mu Xiaolan. Who knew when her blabbermouth might accidentally spill the truth?

Yun Wuji found her excessive care both amusing and exasperating. He took her hand in a natural way and said, "Well, since you're here, come with me. I'll show you something secret." Without waiting for her response, the space around them trembled, and they both teleported away.

The next second, they appeared in front of Cloud's End Cliff. Mu Bingyun glanced down at the dark abyss below, her brow furrowing in confusion. She turned to Yun Wuji and asked, "A cliff? Is it special?"

Yun Wuji gave her a mysterious smile. "Yep, there's a big secret inside. A very terrifying secret." Without another word, he jumped into the abyss, still holding her hand and pulling her along with him.

The two of them fell into the deep abyss. Mu Bingyun glanced downward, and the confused look in her eyes suddenly turned to astonishment. Earlier, she had only taken a quick look and didn't use her senses to inspect it, but now that she spread her spiritual sense, she discovered a barrier hidden below, something was obstructing her perception!

In a short time, both of them passed through the barrier and entered a pitch-black pocket world. Mu Bingyun's eyes widened, her expression froze, and her body went stiff. Everything her eyes and senses picked up was darkness, endless, suffocating darkness. It felt no different from the Northern Divine Region!

How could something like this exist in a lower realm?! Had the devils somehow infiltrated the Eastern Divine Region without anyone knowing?

She slowly turned her head toward Yun Wuji's smiling face, gripped his hand tightly, took a deep breath, and asked, "What... what is this?!"

"As you can see, this is a pocket world created by an ancient god during the Primordial Era," Yun Wuji said calmly. He wasn't surprised by Mu Bingyun's reaction; anyone from the Divine Regions would've reacted the same way. "Can you guess which one?"

"Nonsense! How would I know that?" Mu Bingyun glared at him. "Hurry up and speak, stop dragging it out."

"Alright, alright, no need to get angry," Yun Wuji chuckled. "It was the Heretic God, one of the Four Creation Gods."

"What?! Impossible!" Mu Bingyun's eyes widened in shock as she shouted.

How could the Heretic God, the Elemental Creation God, create something so sinful?! This is unbelievable! No one in their right mind would believe it! If he had said it was a Devil Emperor, she might have believed it, but a god actually using the power of devils? That's ridiculous!

"Shh!" Yun Wuji quickly covered her mouth and looked around, lowering his voice. "Keep it down. There are many Devil beasts here, some stronger than you, and a few are even at the Divine Master Realm!"

"!!!" Mu Bingyun's heart tensed. Divine Master Realm Devil Beasts on this tiny planet?! Even in the Snow Song Realm, such creatures didn't exist. In fact, across the entire region surrounding it, the only known beast of that caliber was the Ancient Horned Dragon in the Flame God Realm.

Divine Masters, whether practitioners or beasts, were incredibly rare.

Yet here Yun Wuji was, telling her there were several of them in this very place?!

"I know you're confused, but don't worry, I'll clear up your doubts shortly," Yun Wuji retracted his hand once he sensed that she had calmed down, then started walking while holding her hand. "In fact, this story is quite complicated and long."

"..." Mu Bingyun followed him silently, listening carefully.

"In case you're wondering, I already told your elder sister about this," Yun Wuji suddenly thought of something and added.

"Sister knew?" Mu Bingyun was surprised again. Given her sister's hatred for devils, why hadn't she done anything?

"Back in the Primordial era, everyone knew that Ni Xuan, the Creation God of the Elements, and Mo E, the Heaven Punishing Divine Emperor, were madly in love with the most beautiful woman of that time, Li Suo, the Creation Goddess of Life. However, as time passed and millions upon millions of years went by, Mo E eventually gave up on pursuing her and chose to marry another woman to continue his legacy. This left only Ni Xuan to pursue her."

"However, Li Suo was a woman whose only desire was to spread life across the universe and follow the Ancestral Goddess's will. She didn't care about the two men's love for her. Then, one day, the Heretic God, who had been simping for Li Suo for millions of years, suddenly fell in love with another woman." Yun Wuji paused and asked, "Do you know who this woman was?"

"Another prestigious True God?" Mu Bingyun's instinctive aversion to the Devil prevented her from considering that one of the leaders of the God race could fall in love with a devil.

"No, he actually fell in love with a Devil." Yun Wuji shook his head. Seeing Mu Bingyun's reaction toward the Devil race, he wasn't surprised by her shock. He added, "And not just any devil, it was the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor! The most revered emperor among all the Devil race."

"Impossible!" Mu Bingyun exclaimed, unable to believe what she was hearing.

"Not only did the two fall in love with each other, but they even gave birth to a child," Yun Wuji continued, "However, before the two could enjoy their life with their child, Mo E suddenly ambushed the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor and banished her outside the Primal Chaos's wall. He then fought Ni Xuan to decide the fate of their child, and Mo E won using the Heaven Punishing Ancestral Sword."

"However, perhaps because he felt ashamed that his victory was unfair, he allowed Ni Xuan to split the child's soul into two, killing the Devil half and leaving the God half."

{That's not entirely true, but the setting here is that Yun Wuji died before all these mysteries were revealed.}

"Ni Xuan did split his daughter into two, leaving the God half with the Sword Spirit God Clan. As for the Devil half, he couldn't bear to follow through with the agreement. After all, she was his daughter," Yun Wuji continued, his voice steady. "So, in the end, he went to the planet he created with his wife and created a dark world. He left his daughter there, and, not wanting her to feel lonely, he left some beasts to accompany her."

By now, Yun Wuji had moved closer to the sea of flowers, and a faint purple light began to glow in the distance.

"You... mean, this world is the one you are talking about?" Mu Bingyun's mind struggled to process the flood of information. A Creation God and a Devil Emperor falling in love with each other? It seemed almost impossible to believe!

Suddenly, a thought struck her. "Wait, that doesn't add up. You said that the Heretic God created this dark dimension, but everyone knew that he didn't have the ability to control darkness."

Yun Wuji tilted his head toward her, a smile playing on his lips. "And who told you that?" he asked. "The Heretic God was born with the ability to control darkness from the very beginning. He just never showed it to others. After all, even in the past, the relationship between Gods and Devils was extremely hostile."

"If the people from that era didn't know, how could we know?"

"And how do you know all of this? These are secrets even the True Gods of the Primordial Era didn't know," Mu Bingyun retorted.

Yun Wuji's expression remained calm. "Because not only did I inherit his legacy," he said, his tone almost casual, "And I also have the ability to deduce things."

"You inherited a Creation God's legacy?!" Mu Bingyun gasped, her eyes widening in disbelief. In the entire Primal Chaos, countless divine legacies existed, but not a single one from a Creation God had ever been discovered. To think Yun Wuji had inherited one!

Yun Wuji chuckled lightly. "I'll explain the rest to you later. First, let me introduce you to a cute little girl." Feeling tired of speaking, he gently took her hand and shot directly into the sea of flowers. As soon as they entered, he spotted a girl standing silently, waiting for him.

When You'er saw him, her eyes lit up. She dashed toward him, but just inches from his body, she stopped and raised her head, blinking her colorful eyes at him.

Yun Wuji smiled warmly and squatted down to her level, his voice soft. "Did you miss me?"

You'er blinked her eyes and nodded her head, her expression pure and innocent.

"I'm going to take you away from this place. Do you want to come with me and see the world together?" Yun Wuji asked, his voice soft and warm as he gazed into her beautiful eyes.

"…!!!" You'er froze in surprise for a short while, as if processing his words, then nodded her head vigorously, her excitement clear.
