"You didn't call me or Spendthrift. That's not fair."
"So you're saying I'm unfair just because of the food."

Damn it, this isn't just any beast pet, it's practically raising an ancestor!
If it doesn't get its way, this creature might even gnaw the house down to nothing. A perfectly good house could be reduced to flat ground.
