Ye Zao nodded and leaned on the Fourth Master's shoulder, gently sobbing.
It wasn't that she particularly wanted to cry; she just couldn't control it for a while.
The Fourth Master didn't stop her, just held her and gently stroked her back. After a long while, he asked, "Are you hungry? How could you not eat?"
"I don't want to eat, I'm not hungry," Ye Zao said hoarsely.
"Even if you don't want to eat, accompany me for a bit? I'm terribly hungry," the Fourth Master said, touching her cheek. "Be good, look at you, your eyes are swollen. You don't usually cry; when you do, your eyes swell terribly."
"Hmm." She nodded, letting the Fourth Master wipe her face with a silk handkerchief. He held her and helped her get off the ground.
Sitting at the table, Ye Zao looked at the table full of delicious food and had no appetite at all.
The Fourth Master thought she was overly emotional today and didn't force her to eat, only telling her to drink a bowl of soup and eat a few noodles.
