The hall was silent.
Time seemed to stand still.
After a brief exchange of glances, Luo Xiu and Lin Xiyue both looked away.
Luo Xiu glanced at the handsome young man beside her, and for some reason, he felt a bit uneasy.
Lin Xiyue noticed Luo Xiu's gaze. Her lips pressed together and her fingers clutched the hem of her clothes. She wanted to explain, but felt there was no need. She then looked at Xu Qianqing sitting behind Luo Xiu, and for some reason, she too felt a bit uneasy, as if pricked by a needle.
There had long been rumors in the company about Luo Xiu and Xu Qianqing. But she hadn't paid them any mind at the time, nor had she cared to. She just never expected that Luo Xiu would still be with Xu Qianqing, even though they no longer worked together.
In the ensuing silence, Luo Xiu nodded at Lin Xiyue as a greeting, and she nodded back in acknowledgment.
Afterward, Lin Xiyue walked toward the Bentley with the handsome young man.
