(Elena's eyes fill with tears. She hugs Lisa back)
Elena: I promise I'll take good care of Jack… even though he's stubborn and dramatic.
Lisa: (laughs) Oh trust me, I raised him. You're going to need patience… and a lot of love.
Elena: I have plenty of that.
(Car sound outside.)
Lisa: That must be Jack. He probably broke every speed limit on the way back.
Elena: (smiling nervously) He worries too much.
(The door opens.)
Jack: Mom! Elena! I'm back—
(pauses, notices Elena's teary eyes)
What happened? Did you scold her?
Lisa: (folds arms dramatically) Yes. I told her she's officially stuck with this family forever.
Alia: …Wait, what?
Elena: (steps closer to Jack, holding his hand) I called her Mom.
(Jack freezes for a second, then smiles—wide and genuine.)
Alia: You Called Her What?
Lisa: And she's marrying you. So behave, or I'll take her side.
Alia: Hey! What's Going On Here? Can Anybody Tell Me
(Jack pulls Elena into a hug, resting his forehead against hers.)
Brother-in-law: So… wedding bells soon?
Jack: (grinning) Looks like it.
Alia: Somebody Tell Me What's Happening
Elena: Jack And Me Are In Love And We Are Going To Get Married
Alia: Are You Serious Why Didn't You Tell Me Upto Now From When Are You Seeing Eachother
Jack: At Your Marriage
Alia: What At my Marriage That Long
Elena: Alia… I hope you're not upset
Alia: Upset?
(Alia grabs Elena's hands)
Alia: I'm getting the sister I always wanted Why Would I Be Upset
(Whole Family Starts Laughing)
(Lisa Calls Jack To Outside)
Lisa: Jack
Jack: Yeah?
Lisa: Don't ever let that smile disappear again From Elena
Jack: I won't. I promise.
(Jack and Elena exchange a look—one filled with warmth, safety, and a future finally falling into place.)
And for the first time in years, Elena felt like home again.
