The church of Helena, one of the most powerful religions of the continent, locate at the Holy Kingdom of Helena, the kingdom that said to be found by the saint of the same name.
They have a large portions of followers across the continent, mostly at the north where the country was there, and also being the main religios of the empire and other neighbors.
For the southern part of the continent, the Church of Lux reign supreme and don't take the other religions kindly, another reasons many suspect why they don't like Earllund Kingdom so much, since Earllund is the largest country in the south that worship Helena's church.
And now, The duo, Huey and Cheryl just arrive at the church of saint Helena.
While not the biggest church in the capital, this church provide local the place for their religious activities and training fields for new priests.
"Wawawawah! I through I brought it with other supplies!" A familiar voice coming from the church hall as the duo opening the door, inside, there's a young boy in priest robe searching items in a big sack.
"Maybe you drop it somewhere? Angie." The priestess in light brown attire asking the boy.
"I'm not sure...., maybe I'll go looking for...."
"You mean this thing? Huey raise his hand with a bottle he take with him earlier."
"That's it! How did you...!?" The young priest name Angie ask him.
"You drop this when we're bumping on each others, and you just run off before I could ask..."
"C....could you give it back?"
"Sure, don't drop it again." Huey throw the bottle back at him, which Angie catching it and fall to the ground in clumsy manner.
"You seems to be busy as always, sister Priscilla" Cheryl greeting the priestess with warm smile.
"If it wasn't sir Cheryl, what's bring you all the way here?" Priscilla asking in wonder.
"Well....."
"I see, so you both are task by his majesty to do some investigations, and you need help?" Priscilla make assumption.
"Yes, we ask guard captain before, and he tell us to come here." Cheryl reply.
"Supply we're not worry, problem is the manpower, and his majesty have no men to spare at this moment." Huey telling their problem.
"Anyway, what's that bottle?" Then asking about the item earlier.
"It just..., an ingredient for our ritual." Priscilla answer. Nervously.
"Oh this? It's a yeast for our honey...."
"Shush, Angie!!" Priscilla scold her apprentice, only for Cheryl to sigh out for what he hear.
"You haven't change, sister. Tone down your drinking habit, will you?"
"Well, priests like us cannot just go to and buy drinks from anywhere, so.... Anyway, let's head inside so we can talk more details." Priscilla quickly get back to the point, or rather, change the subject.
The four are now inside the church's scriptorium, where Priscilla sitting on her desk while Angie stand beside her, the duo are sitting on the couch meant for guests.
"What you're planning is go to the north?" Priscilla asking the duo about their plan.
"Yes, with most of the knights are at the south, the northern area of the kingdom should be undermanned" Cheryl reply.
"I think the northern region wasn't suppose to be that dangerous, after all, that region was well guarded by Margrave Mannstein, one of his majesty main supporters after all."
"I use to think the same." Huey cut in.
"A month ago, the Margrave was pass away from unknow reasons."
"I never heard of that!?" Priscilla was in shock to know.
"Margrave Mannstein was the reason why the northern region was at peace, his death was so sudden that as soon as his majesty know it, he order Margrave's death to be keep as secret until things sorted out, it seems the secret was leak..."
"I through you're just an adventurer, Huey." Cheryl surprise at Huey's intel just like Priscilla.
"I rather not talk more about it, anyway, we'll head to the north, and we need some more companion." Huey get back to the main topic.
"I see, then you could take my apprentice, Angelo, with you." Priscilla point her hand at her apprentice.
"Whawawawawhat!? Sister, why me?" The young priest nervously ask.
"You have trouble with interact with people, Angie. Beside, going out and have some adventures is better way to see the world rather than stuck in this church all days." Priscilla tell the boy her reasons.
"I wish I could go with you, if I'm not have this place to manage."
"That would be the great help, sister. But can you tell me more about Angie?" Cheryl ask politely.
"Well, he might be a bit clumsy and shy one, but his light and healing magic should come in handy, also he's surprisingly strong despite his looks." Priscilla explain.
"Thank you for your help, sister." Cheryl thanks Priscilla.
"No need, I just want him to have his own adventures anyway."
"Isn't because so you can drinking without being notice....?" Angie whisper to himself.
"What did you say?"
"Nope."
"Anyway, when will you two go? So we could make some preparations."
"About tomorrow, this investigation is urgent." Huey reply.
"I see, then you better get going, it's about evening now." Priscilla recommend.
"Don't worry, I also live around here." Huey assure.
"Then what about you, sir Cheryl?"
"I also have no problems."
"Understood, I'll have Angie ready in tomorrow. Take care."
"Take care, sister." The duo farewell and leaving the church.
"I think you should hurry back, the palace barack was so far from here." Huey suggest Cheryl.
"No need, I can send message for the barrack to delivering my gears here tomorrow."
"And your place to rest? I though you stay at the palace's barrack."
"I could stay at your place, just one night should be fine, I think? In fact, we have to discuss our travelling plans before begin our journey anyway." Cheryl telliing his intention.
"I guess you're right, but my place isi not that great for two people. In fact, it was just a renting room at the tavern." Huey reply.
"It's fine." Cheryl smiling.
"Alright, I also want to have someone to drink with anyway, let's have some drink before our long travel then?"
"I'm not really good at drinking, but fine." The duo smiling at each other, their days of adventure is ahead of them.
