"Sai!"
A shout ripped through the silence, dragging Sai from the depths of sleep. His eyelids fluttered open just in time for a school bag to slam directly into his face.
"Think fast!" Belphegor shouted, still frozen in the exaggerated throwing pose he had struck moments earlier.
Sai groaned, rubbing his nose as a dull ache spread across his face.
"You're supposed to yell it before you throw it, dumbass."
"Nah." Belphegor shrugged without the slightest hint of guilt. "Too much effort."
Sai let out a long sigh before slowly pushing himself upright.
Most people would assume he had just woken up at home.
Unfortunately, reality was much worse.
As the undisputed number one slacker in the academy, Sai had somehow managed to sleep through the entire school day without waking up even once. Not a single lesson had disturbed his nap.
Ordinarily, that would have earned any student endless punishments.
Sai, however, was an exception.
