There was one thing Katarina had learned from her battle against Lucas.
Her physical body was far too weak.
Admittedly, it was still stronger than that of an ordinary mage. She wasn't fragile by any reasonable standard. But in the kind of battles she would now be facing—against beings who could shatter landscapes and distort reality—that level of strength was simply not enough. Without relying on magic, she wouldn't even be able to keep up, much less survive.
And that was a problem.
Which was why she had come up with an idea.
To reduce her dependence on magic, she resolved to incorporate close combat into her fighting style whenever possible. It wasn't enough to stand at a distance and cast spells anymore. She needed something more immediate. More efficient. More adaptable.
That decision led to the creation of her new technique.
Sovereign Flow.
'Admittedly, the name is a bit embarrassing.'
