Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

"What's wrong?" Silas notices as he presses his hand against my forehead. How can he see my face getting red from the heat? "I'm feeling too hot. Get away from me, or else I will do something." I closed my eyes tightly as the sensations were strong, and he quickly understood. He walks a few steps back, but not far enough. The sensations were going strong, and I couldn't help but rub my knees together and try to rub my thighs. "Silas, what is happening to me?" I say as the pleasure intensifies and a moan escapes my mouth, but he doesn't answer. I look at him to see that he had his back in front of me, not wanting to look at me as if I were something disgusting.

"Take me back to the bus!" I say, but his mouth works first. "I can't take you there, or else people will misunderstand. I am calling eclipsis, he is only two minutes away from us, try to control more," he says, still avoiding looking at me. "Fuck two minutes are too long! Do something, Silas, please!" I say and try to sound desperate, but it angers him more as he curses under his breath.

"Listen, I'll have to touch you for the burning sensation to calm, but I can't do it to a student. I am your professor, I can get executed," he says, and I am too shocked to look at him at the excuse he just made. "This is the excuse you have to make when we are literally in this dark forest alone with not a single soul around!" I yell, and Silas takes a deep breath before turning back to look at me. He looks defeated, but his eyes are the same, huge black pupils. "We both are going to fucking regret this....", he says and comes close. My heart skips a beat thinking about what he's gonna do when there is a loud shriek from somewhere above us. "Eclipsis! Here, boy!" Silas yells, and there is a sudden gush of air as the shadow dragon flies down to us.

The dragon looks at me with its black and golden eyes and growls a bit at me. "I am not getting on this dragon," I protest. "Do not test my patience. Get on him, silas snaps at me, and the very next second, I am in the air and on Eclipsis's hard body. Silas quickly comes up and sits exactly behind me, gripping eclipsis's scales. "Eclipsis, take us to the nebula," he orders the animal, and with a small grunt of acknowledgement, the dragon opens its huge wings and takes off into the air. The amount of air which was coming at us was strong enough for me to lose my grip and drop to the ground, but Silas had me secured between him with both his arms enclosing my whole body.

The air was cold for me to numb the pain, and I was trying hard not to lean into Silas's chest against my back, but then he spoke, making every thought break into pieces. "We need to remove the effect from your body. So when I'll tell you to jump, you will jump," he says, and I snap my head back to see if he's just kidding, but he wasn't. "And here I thought I was the only one drunk. Did you also take a few shots?" I snap. "Here we go now....", he says, looking at the dark forest which I can't see due to the speed and terror that enters my chest. Oh shit, we are going to fall.....

"Jump now!" Silas yells, but my white knuckles weren't letting go of the dragon. "Kaya, I said JUMP!" He says again, but this time eclipsis turns us over, and I was falling on the ground. "Oh fuck I am going to die!" I yell, and out of instincts I grab Silas tightly and squish into him, and I feel his hands behind my back trying to cover me. "We are near, you will need to take a deep breath when I tell you to, okay?" he asks softly, and I nod. Terror was written all over my face, and he had seen it. "Kaya now!" he suddenly says, and we both take a gasping rush of air as cold water hits us with a thrust, and I was under water trying to keep my breathing steady. Silas looks at me to see if I am still breathing and gives me a reassuring nod before closing his eyes to concentrate on something.

Oh no.... I don't know how to swim...

The panic takes over me, and I drastically open my mouth, freeing all the air and clawing at Silas as the water starts choking me. He snaps his eyes wide open and looks at me. He grabs me, and I was too panicked to notice that there was a disturbance across the water and a huge water dragon was heading straight towards us at speed. There was a weight beneath me, and Silas made me sit on the weight before we were pulled out of the water. The dragon basically throws me on the ground while Silas gets off of him, taking deep breaths.

I lay down on the ground, exhausted and thirstily drinking all the oxygen there was. My chest was heaving hugely, and I had my eyes closed, thanking god that he saved my life. "Are you fucking out of your mind!?" I hear Silas yelling and breathing heavily from somewhere, but I couldn't bother to open my eyes. I was tired, and I wanted to sleep. "Open your damn eyes kaya when I am talking to you." I feel his hand behind my neck, picking my face from the ground, and I open my eyes quickly to see his face inches away from me. Oh goodness...his eyes were so black yet so blue..... they are beautiful..... It wasn't hard for me to notice those dark blue eyes turning to lighter blue, and his facial features changed from anger to something else...

"Why did you panic?" he asked ever so softly as if we were sharing a secret even from the trees and the nature around us. His jet black hair was all wet, droplets falling on my face. He noticed and then coughed before pulling away from me and dragging his hands in his wet hair, pushing them backwards. Oh, he looked hot.

He suddenly chuckled, and I felt embarrassed. "Why are you laughing. Not everyone knows how to swim," I say, and he looks at me confusingly as if I caught him off guard. "Kaya, I get it that we cannot swim due to our powers, but don't they like teach it in the human world?" he says as both of his dragons come out of nowhere, lying next to the pond.

"Uh... I kind of broke my leg when trying to learn, you know. Got crutches and everything, so I sort of....have some trouble with um.." I look at his water dragon before continuing "....swimming", I look at the dragon once again, who was staring at me. Both of them were actually staring at me, but as long as the water one does not kill me for hating water. I was fine. The second I took my eyes off the dragons, I was surprised to see Silas looking at me as if he was trying to look through me. I should have felt embarrassed for telling him about my childhood, but it felt as if I knew he would care and not just treat it childishly.

The long silence was deafening, and he too realised it before looking at the water, suddenly remembering what we were here for. "How do you feel now? Has the ache disappeared?" he asks, and I nod. I'm glad it was dark, and he couldn't see my cheeks turning red at the memory of how horny I was in front of him. I literally begged him to help me.

He looks at me for a second before looking at the lake again. "This lake is nebula. It has the power to numb all sorts of drugs and poisons except the deadly ones. They have too strong toxins for the lake to heal them." He says. "Right... so I have to come here next time if someone tries to drug me," I say as a joke. "It was a mistake letting Abex and Lucien look over you at the festival. I will not make the same mistake again. Now you will be under my eyes all the time, and I will not let anyone harm you again like that," he says in anger, making me shiver.

"Come on, let's go back, or else you'll get a fever. And I can't let you skip training even a single day," he says, and I pout at him. He is being unfair. Eclipsis sits in a steady position as Silas goes near him. "Nuka, you go back, my boy," he says to the water dragon, and he grunts softly before taking a breath of him, and with the last glance at me, he runs back into the water. As I near the shadow dragon silas takes his cloak off before giving it to me. "Here, you'll freeze if you fly in those wet clothes," he says, looking at my body, but I quickly wear his cloak on my wet body.

Silas helps me up on his dragon's back before jumping on him, behind me, with ease, and soon we were back in the air. "What about the professors on the bus? Won't they be waiting for us?" I ask. "I told Lucien to tell them you are on the other bus," he says ever so casually. The flight back to Topeza was short compared to riding on the bus and crossing through the barrier; a part of me was creeping out. What if we didn't pass through the barrier? But we did.

"Ugh, you don't have to walk me back to my very own room silas.", I say as the man was too stubborn to listen and we ended up outside my room. "Who gave you the permission to call me by my name?" he asks, raising his brows. "I am the general and four years senior to you. You know that, right?" He says. "Yeah, yeah, I just don't care," I say, and I was about to open the door of my room when he grabs my shoulders and pins me to my door. "You are in my world now, firebreather. It's time you start respecting me before I turn to something you don't want to know," he threatens me, and I growl at him in anger. I felt my eyes change for a second, which caught him off guard, but then they became normal again. "Don't be bossy with me. I may not be the general nor a senior like you, but I am a queen, and you're still a prince," I snap, and he smirks, knowing he was impressed with the choice of my words. "You may be the new queen, but don't forget you still don't have any signs of powers. So that means you are under my order. And about that prince thing? I'll make sure you get to watch my coronation up in front like the rest," he says with sole determination in his eyes and pride in his smile, but then his demeanour changes to protectiveness, and he opens the door to my room, taking us both inside and locking it behind him.

Silas looks around the room, making sure there is no one in the room, even though they had put up wards around my room. "I heard some voices near, so I just wanted to check. And I will be dropping you into your room personally and will make sure, before leaving, that there is no threat around," he says, and I sigh. "I can handle myself this much. Don't get too much riled up." I say, but Silas turns to look at me and raises his brow, looking at it as a challenge. "Oh.. is it so?", he slowly walks towards me, his eyes suddenly going full black and huge shadows were looming around his body as if he was their only home.

I shiver from fear of his dark side and back against the wall when he starts chuckling in a low voice and turns back to his normal self. "Yeah, I believe you, firebreather. Now get changed. I don't want anyone to find out that you were wet," he says in such a way that I nearly thought it that way. "I will change AFTER you leave," I say, and he looks away from me, feeling awkward. "Yeah, I have to report to Headmaster Orion about the situation today," he says, and again goes towards my window and suddenly jumps off.

"Can't he go out through the door like a normal person?" I say around the empty room and walk to close the window and see him walking away as if he doesn't care if someone catches him jumping out of a window from some student's room. I guess he will probably threaten or kill the person if he finds out. Closing the window, as I walk towards the armoire, I noticed the same black stone I saw the merchant was selling, and there was a note. "I saw you watching the stone with interest, so I bought it for you. Find your identity like this, rock, firebreather."

I was speechless... how does he do everything without me catching him? Keeping the note in the drawer, I look at the stone with an intense look for the last time before keeping it on my desk and finally retiring to my bed.

--

But the sleep never came. I shifted and turned all night, thinking about the powers I didn't have at the moment, giving me a headache. I looked at the time to see it was 5 a.m. It was almost time for my so-called secret training with silas so I just decided to get ready. Wearing my gear, I snuck out of the dorm and took my steps towards the dark forest. I look around to see if anyone is suspicious and is following me. However, there wasn't any sign of any person, even Silas. "Where is he? Did he forget about the training and go to sleep instead?" I enter the forest, thinking he may already have started training himself. But the forest was as silent as a desert. There was a sudden gush of wind, and I nearly gasp when a shadow monster came out of nowhere and attacked me. "AHHH!!", I yelled, lost my balance and fell to the ground on my ass.

"Really stupid defence. Even kids sense danger more quickly than you," Silas mocks as he appears out of nowhere. "Excuse me? I was a normal human being until yesterday," I reply. "That's no excuse, it's been one whole day since you're here. You need to strengthen your senses. But first, let's start with that weak body of yours," he said, and I gasp at the insult. I'll show you... I narrowed my eyes as he arrogantly walked ahead further towards the trail. "Let's walk first and see if you can catch up," he says and starts jogging first, while I stretch my legs and start jogging.
