Laughter echoes down the hall of the black stone castle as the man sitting on his throne looked at his ball of illusion.
"Why are you laughing my master?"
"Ember's heir is alive. Its time, I unleash the war of the history and bring down those royal immortals who sealed me in this realm, but now that the chains are slightly weakened because of too much raw and uncontrolled magic. I can make a small rift for which you are going there for me my most loyal slave. Bring me the royal. And do not return without it."

Garran quickly attached a breathing mask over the girl and Abex picking her body in his arms ran out of the office with Garran to get her into the healing chambers. Me and Lucien were standing behind the principal who had still crouched down on the carpet where kaya's body was a few seconds ago. I signal him to close the doors as I could feel curious students trying to lurk around the office trying to take a glimpse of what happened around here and they certainly could not see the principal bent on his knees.
Lucien locks the door and the principal gets up from his place and goes to his seat. "Please take a chair boys, as you just saw the matters have escalated too quickly than it should have.", he says shaking his head. The principal, along with all of our parents who are the part of royals are in the advisory council. After we passed out we also became a part of the council and there had been murmured discussions about a danger looming over our heads but it wasn't that much of a threat nor it was too common to talk about it frankly, only the authorities knew. But I can guess that is what he is about to tell us.
"You know about ziykael.", he says looking from me to Lucien. We both exchanged glances before nodding to him. We were small kids at that time. My father had told me about the enemy who had destroyed the fire realm with the queen dead and we had lost the origins of our ancestorial element, fire. We were confused that how the realm was balancing without its fourth pillar and then afterwards raw and untamed magic was observed in the young children and we knew it was because of that reason. And after that there were no more fire elementals ever found.
"Well, you guys do not know how your fathers had sealed the enemy and where is sealed but it's time to tell you. He is sealed in another realm far away after baneswood forest where light magic cannot survive, the magic makes it out of control over there. Which makes it even more dangerous for light energy to go near it. Apparently our enemy was in a state of hibernation for several decades. But these past few years he has suddenly awake but weak to do something. But it's not for long. I have the clue that it has something to do with kaya. he has sensed it because ember had sealed him with her own energy, which is fire." He says but the words are out of my mouth before I could stop them. "Fire can recognize fire.", Orion nods infront of me. "And I need help boys, it's something I can't do alone. I want you to teach her and help her get control of her powers. She is 20 years old for god sake and has the power of an ancient element under her alone without any learning. That power is too dangerous for all of us. And I am afraid he will try to take advantage of it if he somehow got to her like he tried today.", he says.
"We will help you professor but what about what he tried to do today? He can do it again.", I say. "I will try to do something about it. Strengthening the wards around the realm to make the contact between them weak for him to unable to approach her. But don't try to underestimate him. There are enemies between us and they will try to stop us if he somehow gave them the order. And that is I know you guys can get away with it without letting anyone know. But we have to make sure not to train her discreetly and to not let other students get suspicious of her getting private treatment. That is why I am putting you into professor micknon, crileon and captain hedrik's place. I know you can do it. But I need you guys to promise me you wont tell about this to your fathers.", he says and I swallow the lump of guilt down my throat.
"We promise you.", I say and Lucien nods from his side. "We will also tell Abex.", I say and he nods. "So...kaya was right when she said we are making killing machines over here.", Lucien smirks easing the mood in the atmosphere. "She is not a killing machine, she is a weapon to save our asses because the time is near when ziykael breaks through the rift keeping him inside to take a revenge from us.", he says making my blood freeze. "But for now I'll dismiss you guys as today is the orientation day. So keep an eye on the students, look for every person looking suspicious.", he says and Lucien gives me a smirk which I give back. Oh its fucking good to be back. We head towards my assigned room which was in the teaching quadrant with Lucien and Abex. "Well this is different...", I say as I get out of my attached bathroom in my room, trying to fit my tunic which felt tight around my broad arms. I shouldn't have built this much muscles. I try to fit my sleeve and Abex whistles. I look up at him and find him staring at my muscles.
"I swear to god, if you turned gay over me, I'll let eclipsis rip you to pieces." I threaten and look at myself in the mirror. Memories of us making troubles and pranking our classmates gives me flashbacks but this time we were on the teachers side. We wont get to do the troubles but that doesn't mean we wont punish the students who give us a hard time.
Professor micknon and crileon used to teach us outdoor survival tactics class and metal crafting and control which will be taken over by Lucien and Abex respectively. Captain hedrik was the trainer of martial arts and combats which will be taken by me.
"Ok so half of the students have already arrived and half of them are still going to come. We have to go to the staff room and observe from there.", Abex guides us and we nod. There is a sound outside my room and all our heads snap towards the sound. Abex nods at us silently before disappearing into thin air and goes out of the open door. Soon there is a thud against my bedroom wall as Abex reappears pinning a male student against the wall. "Look who decided to join us. Timarthus wang.", Lucien said smirking and the words from the principal earlier flashed into the back of my brain. "Timarthus will be punished for what he did." A smirk automatically comes over my lips and I slowly walk towards the boy. Wrong move.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't hearing I swear!", he says but Abex lifts him up even higher making him remember who has the authority over here right now. "Do you know what I dislike about you cadet?", I lower my voice deliberately. Both of them had amusement on their faces except the boy who were excited to see what will I do. I was known for being the most troublesome yet the most ruthless and powerful cadet known to my juniors and seniors. "I hate it when mice like you sneak behind your enemy instead of looking them dead in the eye.", I say staring daggers at his soul. "But not to worry, I will teach you how to do that actually.", I say with a sly smirk on my lips.

I had already met the professors who were here for the orientation duties. And now we three were at the highest tower of the college, looking down at every motion made by the confused first years who were coming inside the ivory gates through the wards. "Please let me go, I won't even enter the teaching quadrants by mistake.", timarthus says from where I had hanged him upside down on the wall for about I guess 20 minutes. "You learned both of your mistakes you made today?", I ask without looking at his face who looked like he was about to puke.
"I promise! Oh god your even worse than the principal who ceased my powers away from me for the whole day!", he says keeping his words limited from bile not coming out of his mouth. "Oh Silas leave him or else I will be forced to kill him if he puked.", Lucien said into our minds by mind linking. This is how Garran came rushing without anyone going to fetch him. I snapped my hand, my shadows quickly releasing their hold on him and he drops to the ground and Abex and Lucien looks at him. He gives a quick bow to us before running outside as quickly as possible, far away from me. We watched and watched until the students disappeared inside the buildings. "So much for a show, why do we have to waste time to look at the students?", Abex said. "It's because we are ordered to do that.", I reminded him.
"What about kaya?", Lucien asked mind linking us. Lucien had taught it to us so that we can easily talk to each other without anyone hearing us. "She's still out but her breathing returned.", Garran informs us. I looked at the time and it had been 3 hours. "Look how everything just changed in few seconds. And we got ourselves with a fire elemental. The first and last of our generation.", Lucien said and we couldn't help but agree with him. "But she has black hair and her mother had red, how is that possible?", Abex asked. "Magic does the most unbelievable things.", Abex said. Magic is dangerous and more if it is out of control. The blisters on kaya's hands made me shiver at the thought that how someone's power can hurt them. I felt guilty for the girl, she is not like us until yesterday she was ordinary human girl and everything in her life changed in just few hours from her identity to her family. Everything she had gone through was fake. The next few days are going to be hard to make her trust us. What I did to her is making me feel guilty.
"Silas, please meet me in my office we have to go over to check the quarters where kaya will be living.", the principal mind links me and I reply, obeying the orders. "Guys I have to go, Orion is calling. You also get back to your duties now that the shit show is over.", Lucien grins and Abex laughs out. I go out of the tower room, going down the stairs to the principal's office. Students were not allowed to go through this corridor and there were wards who would signal the staff. "I'm here sir.", I say after finding him outside his door with students crossing the corridor and sneaking glances at me as they walk with their friends. The boys felt threatened under my gaze but the girls loved them as I noticed how they were trying to keep the excitement hidden from the principal. I still remember the fangirls from when I was still a student. "Come on, let's go. I have already assigned the quarters to everyone and I also have put them with suitable room mates.", he says trying not to sound biased to the students passing who were glancing at us. Stupid, curious students. We head out of the main educational and administration building and head out towards the other side of Topeza where the students quadrants were situated at. There were different buildings to accommodate maximum students. We headed towards the third building where the students were surprised to see us. As the principal opened the door and I followed inside, the first thing my gaze landed was on the girl sitting on the main seating area.
"Princessyouna", I nod and at first she is surprised to see me but then nods at me. "I have allotted youna and Selene in this quadrant. So I hope you dont have any problems.", the principal said. Princess youna, Holder of the element, Earth. And Princess Selene the bearer of nature, the animals and storms under her. Youna is the fourth ancestorial elementalist. Which means all four of them are here this year, instead of three every single year at the kingdom festivals. "Isn't it a bit dangerous to keep her with other royals?", I ask him and he smirks at me. "Actually we do know about the fire elementalist and we have given our oaths to the principal.", the mind link came from somewhere behind me and I turned around to find Selene entering the door smirking with pride. Youna had the same expression. "Well then, your too bold to tell this to many people.", I said to the principal who just grinned at me.
"Well I did tell you we needed all the help we can get. They will get closer to kaya and will be there when you are not.", he says. I nod as long as the professor approves. "I have given them the mind link ability to talk to you guys directly.", he says and I give him the subtle nod. "Um sir? I can sense her mental motions. She is soon about to wake up.", garran speaks and I guess he gave everyone the news. "Girls go to the healing chambers. We are also coming.", the principal informs and the girls nod before leaving. We check her assigned room for anything and then the principal puts on ward around her room. And only her body senser can provide her access to the room. "I am adding yours too incase something happens and you can rush over.", he says and I nod. "I just hope she listens to us now....", I whisper out and the principal nods.

There was only darkness around my eyes and only one face lurking around which my mind remembers very clearly, the same man who tried to kill me in my thoughts. Except it was just a memory but that, that felt real. Before my mind starts to form the same image from last night, my heart skipped a beat and I quickly woke up with cold sweats all over, light pain in my head. The oxygen mask over my nose helped me with my breathing. "Relax your okay now kaya." Garran says. "What time is it? How long did I passed out?" I ask him as he helps me take off my oxygen mask. "It has been three hours.", he says. My hands go over to the wrapped bandages on my palms. "Your powers went out of control and it burned your hands but don't worry I healed them, by tomorrow they will go completely back to normal.", he says and I clearly notice the black circles around his eyes. He hasn't slept ever since I came last night and has been putting all his energy on me. "I am sorry for putting you in this mess. I shouldn't be over reacting seeing magical creatures all around using all sorts of magic like its normal thing, but me... I didnt even knew magic existed until last night. And now having one for myself, its just too much on me so I just kind of overreacted.", I look at him to find him smiling at me.
"Its completely normal, I have seen my female students freaking out with a cut that had marked their faces or something, but it makes sense with you. We shouldn't have just thrown everything on you all at once when you were still in the processing part.", he says. "You know you sound a lot like my cousin Ethan. He's also a doctor and is devoted to his patients like you are.", I say. "You miss him right?", he asks and I nod trying not to get emotional. "Headmaster Orion will let you go to meet him.", he says and I stop on my spot. "He is not bad as you think, he is just scared for you, because the man whom you saw in your dreams is the same man he was talking about in the morning. He killed your mother, destroyed your kingdom, your birthplace.", he said and I tried not to let it degrade me. I hear a sigh and he sits infront of me.
"Look I didn't meant to upset you that way.", he starts but I stop him. "No...its fine, I don't remember... her or my birthplace. I just have broken memories of my parents and Ethan. I would hate to believe the principal's words but those sparks I just had yesterday was telling me otherwise.", I explain looking at the bandages wrapped around my hand. Suddenly my stomach growls and Garran looks at me and I shrug. "What do you want to eat?", he asks. "Well I am craving for something with meat.", I say and he grinned. "Just my type of girl.", he says flicking his fingers and in an instant a chicken burger appeared infront of me with fries. "How....?", I ask and he raises his brow. "No, I mean I thought you would give me something only immortals eat or there would be something different.", I said. "As an immortal I completely agree with the fact that you humans come up with the best food recipes.", he says and I chuckle. "Now dig in, you haven't eaten since last night.", he says and I quickly grab the burger in my hand taking a bite and oh my god..... this was heaveeeeennnnn. I moan at the salty, oily, cooked meat with the mixed taste of melted cheese and vegetables hit my tastebuds. He grins and gets up to give me my privacy to eat.
I quickly finish my meal in 10 minutes to which he says that I broke his record and promised to stay hungry for a whole day to taste the food. "Um Dr. Garran?", one of the girls asked. "Ah just whom I was expecting. Come in girls.", he said nudging them inside towards us and they look at me with warm smiles on their faces. At least someone students are nice unlike that timarthus. I roll my eyes and then turn to them. "Kaya, meet your roommates with whom you'll be living with.", Garran introduces us and I give them the rough look that I still hadn't decided to stay over here. "I meant your soon to be or expected roommates. Well this is princess youna and this is princess Selene.", he says. Oh they are royals. I quickly get out of the bed and before I bend to bow to them, they quickly grab me by my hands stopping me.
"Oh no, please don't, we all are equals over here at Topeza. In royalty and in ranking.", Youna says. "Well how do you know I am a royal and not a commoner?", I look over at the three who looks like as if I have grown a third head. "Yeah I mean the queen had red hair right, why do I have black hair then?", I ask. Garran opens his mouth to say something but no logical answer comes out and he closes his mouth. "Well we are trying to solve that mystery as well. But it will take time." Someone said from behind the girls and I look over to see the headmaster coming inside with the same three men I know with the time I spent here. "Kaya they will be your professors and the girls will be with you at all times.", he says and I couldn't help but glare at Silas who just smirked at me pissed off at him.
"What makes you think that I am going to stay here?", I ask crossing my arms over my chest. The headmaster sighs before me and then acknowledges the others in the room. "Guys leave us alone for a few minutes.", he says and everyone one by one leaves the room.
"Okay, I will show you one of the most important memory of your life if you allow me to.", he says looking for approval in my eyes. My heart was pounding against my ribcage and looking at the trust adamant in his eyes.
And I nod.
