Chapter 4719: The Silver White World
A single silver white mountain had released radiance that vaporized both the World Source Spring and Supreme Baizhong's clone.
Even Lin Moyu frowned at this sight.
However weak Baizhong's clone might be, it was still a Supreme avatar.
For it to be vaporized in an instant seemed impossible.
Even if suppressed by entering another world, it should not fall so quickly.
And the World Source Spring was no ordinary substance; vaporizing it was no easy matter either.
The only conclusion was that the silver white mountain was extremely dangerous, and so was that world.
For a world to be that lethal, its level had to be very high.
Lin passed what he had seen to the Primordial Chaos Gem. "Know what this is?"
This time, the gem did not hesitate and quickly replied. "It should be that world."
Lin was surprised by the speed and certainty of its answer until the gem's next words explained why.
Worlds were innumerable, and not even the Primordial Chaos Gem could see them all.
But there were very few worlds above the Seventh Cycle.
The higher a world's tier, the fewer existed, and a handful of especially unusual ones were unforgettable to the gem once seen.
Among them was a world the gem had named the Silver White World.
This world held no living beings.
It resembled a miniature Life Forbidden Zone: no living being could survive within it.
The name "Silver White World" was the gem's own creation.
Inside it existed only one kind of thing: a silver white substance, the nature of which even the gem did not know.
Each bit of silver white matter was tiny beyond sight, invisible to the naked eye.
But when countless such motes fused together, they formed visible masses, each like a mountain.
They looked like mountains but were not; they were simply agglomerations of that silver white dust.
What seemed to be light radiating from them was not true light either, only more of the silver white substance.
Anything foreign living or otherwise would be dissolved upon contact with these motes.
From the outside, this dissolution looked like vaporization.
The Silver White World was a solid Eighth Cycle world, and an aberrant one at that.
Its rules were extremely simple and almost devoid of Great Daos an extreme in itself.
Lin listened as the Primordial Chaos Gem recounted everything about the Silver White World.
Because of its peculiarity, the gem remembered it clearly.
Boyang and Baizhong thought Lin was still pondering and did not disturb him.
Only when the gem finished did Lin summarize. "So you do not truly know what it is either, only that it is special."
"I tried to study it," the gem said. "If nothing is mistaken, that silver white matter should be related to the Life Forbidden Zone."
"Then it must be entered to know for sure," Lin said. "Hopefully they are related maybe I can take a 'fatal risk' in there."
"I still think it is too dangerous," the gem cautioned. "Better to send a clone first."
Lin began weighing the options. "That world might there be rule born beings within it?"
Rule born beings were not true living creatures.
The Silver White World lacked any normal life, but that did not preclude the existence of beings born from its rules.
"It had no rule born beings before the Great Ruin," the gem replied. "Now, who knows?"
The Ruin of Worlds could induce unknown changes in a world.
The absence of rule born beings in the past did not prove there were none now.
Lin considered every possibility.
For all its peril, the Silver White World was an Eighth Cycle world, and that alone made it extremely important to him.
If he could obtain it, his Linguistic God World would likely undergo a true qualitative transformation.
He had to go.
Decision made, there was no backing down.
"This Lin will enter that world," he said.
Baizhong's eyes brightened. "Daoist Lin must be careful."
Lin nodded and condensed two clumps of Primordial Qi, handing one each to Baizhong and Boyang.
"This is partial payment. Should this Lin die inside, you will not leave empty handed."
"If this Lin returns safely, there will be another portion."
Offering some upfront and more on completion was standard practice among Supremes.
It kept matters fair and in line with their usual conduct.
Baizhong and Boyang stared at the Primordial Qi, their old eyes shining.
To them, it was priceless, capable of helping them push their realms higher.
Though not enough alone to bring a full breakthrough, it would greatly improve their odds.
During a Calamity, not even Supremes were truly safe; any extra survival power was invaluable.
Baizhong chuckled. "Boyang, before you refused to share Zixing's Primordial Qi. Now you have your own. Will you keep it or give it to her?"
Boyang thought for a moment. "Zixing has already taken a small step forward. Without a special opportunity, even more Primordial Qi will not push her further."
"So I will use this one myself."
Supremes were very clear eyed about gains and losses.
They knew how to maximize benefit.
Lin did not care how they divided the Primordial Qi.
His focus stayed on the spatial tunnel.
A clone appeared beside him and shot into the passage, heading for the Silver White World.
The tunnel was not long; his soul clone quickly reached the exit.
A familiar aura surged toward him.
Lin's heart stirred as he sensed a force akin to the Life Forbidden Zone's after dealing with that place many times, he could not mistake its unique annihilation.
"So it really is related to the Life Forbidden Zone."
The Primordial Chaos Gem's judgment was correct, which gave Lin a little more confidence.
The soul clone emerged from the tunnel and saw the silver white mountains: many of them, floating in the void.
Every mountain radiated silver white brilliance, dyeing the entire world in its hue.
The Silver White World was not large.
For an Eighth Cycle world, its scale was less than one percent that of a normal world.
After its Ruin, now a world remnant, it had shrunk even further.
The silver white light washed over the soul clone, which immediately began to dissolve and vaporize.
Unlike Baizhong's clone, however, it did not vanish at once.
Lin's soul far surpassed Baizhong's, and so did his clone.
That difference bought him precious time to observe the Silver White World.
He saw the silver white substance the gem had described: countless dustlike particles, invisible to mortal sight.
As they touched his soul clone, both sides dissolved each other.
Not only the soul clone vaporized; the silver white motes did as well.
They were like suicides, erasing all intruders by consuming themselves.
A thought flashed through Lin's mind, and he grasped a possible solution.
It might be a crude method, but it should work and it was very simple.
