Chapter 4707: The Polar World
Hongmeng Gem's reaction surprised Lin Moyu a bit. "Is it really that serious?"
Hongmeng Gem squinted, looking at Lin Moyu strangely, as if to say: 'Master, are you really tired of living?'
He said quietly, "Master, the power you touched before, although it was from the Forbidden Zone of Life, had already been filtered by the world."
"Strictly speaking, this isn't true forbidden power anymore, but power that's been blended with world laws. It's still extremely strong, but far less fatal."
"The true power of the forbidden zone is terrifying. Even the strongest are instantly killed by it no means of survival."
"The Heavenbreaker Emperor was powerful. He used his world as the first layer of defense, thinking his peak six cycle world could withstand the destruction of the forbidden zone.
But the whole world was wiped away instantly not even the slightest chance of survival."
"If master directly confronts the Forbidden Zone, the result would be the same."
Lin Moyu asked with curiosity, "That's what confuses me. Worlds originally exist within the Forbidden Zone of Life, so why was the Heavenbreaker's world erased instantly, but not before?"
Hongmeng Gem answered, "Simple The forbidden zone targets living things, not the worlds themselves. Worlds evolve in the forbidden zone, so it doesn't attack them."
"But when Heavenbreaker entered the forbidden zone and used world power to resist it, the zone began to treat him and his world as one."
"He was powerful enough to resist for a little bit, but his world couldn't it was erased instantly."
So that's how it worked; Lin Moyu understood.
The Forbidden Zone allows worlds to exist, but doesn't allow them to challenge it.
It seemed this was its unique rule.
Lin Moyu said, "Alright, looks like I was overthinking."
Hongmeng Gem continued, "But your idea isn't impossible. If you can upgrade your world, at least to seven cycle level, maybe you can use world power to absorb a bit of the forbidden force.
Then, with Little Tree helping, just absorb a sliver so long as it's within your own world, even if you die you might be revived."
Lin Moyu listened carefully and agreed the theory made sense.
Let Linguistic God World absorb forbidden zone energy, though right now it's not complete enough to filter that energy.
Without filtering, the forbidden power is vastly destructive a six cycle world can't bear it, a seven cycle world might barely manage.
So, he needed to raise his world to seven cycle level; then with Little Tree's help, absorb just a trace of the forbidden power.
If he touched that trace, maybe he wouldn't be entirely killed off.
It was a dangerous experiment, but theoretically sound. If successful, he could use the forbidden devastation to advance.
Both body and soul could take another step, maybe even surpassing the limits and adapting to forbidden power preparing for a future journey into the forbidden zone.
After calculating, Lin Moyu believed the odds were good. He whispered, "Then let's power up Linguistic God World, then try."
Hongmeng Gem grinned, "I feel like you're uncomfortable unless you're courting death."
Lin Moyu laughed as well. "True, dying's become a habit. If I don't risk my life for a while I feel odd."
It was half a joke, but also the truth.
As he flew out of the spatial channel, a heat wave swept over him. Flames soared, and he was instantly turned into a man of fire.
"A world of flames!" Lin Moyu realized.
Ten seconds passed, the flames vanished gale winds arrived, icy cold swept over, and everything froze.
This hot cold alternation battered both body and soul; Lin Moyu felt very unwell.
Luckily, his body and soul were extremely strong even a quasi Supreme being might suffer serious injury here.
After all, this was another world, so even Supreme Daos from the outside didn't function only body and soul counted.
Each freeze lasted ten seconds, then fire returned.
Every cycle did tremendous damage.
Hongmeng Gem looked around and sighed, "Whoa, this is a peak seven cycle world almost eight."
He saw through the world's essence and judged its level.
This delighted Lin Moyu. "Looks like my luck's good."
He needed a seven cycle or higher world, and had found one almost at the eighth level.
Hongmeng Gem said, "This world is polar every ten seconds it switches between extremes, dealing huge harm to outsiders. A nightmare for expedition teams.
Without the peak of the Supreme realm for both body and soul, no one could survive for long."
Weaker teams might die instantly unable to relay any news.
Nightmare indeed.
But if you don't enter, there's no way to know.
So each time these worlds appeared, the strongest would always lose many people.
Lin Moyu said, "Find the world core."
Hongmeng Gem nodded, already searching.
It wasn't hard for him, at least he could point to the general direction.
Soon he had it, raised a hand and pointed. "Master, head that way."
Lin Moyu nodded, and flew off in a flash.
During the alternation of ice and fire, muffled noises echoed from his body. Here, the damage reached a level that actually harmed Lin Moyu.
But the extra damage was shared between the Art Law Realm, the Ten Directions Domain, and Linguistic God World.
Inside the Art Law Realm were trillions of immortal undead soldiers; the damage, though fierce, was spread so much it was negligible.
The commotion was loud, but nothing could really harm Lin Moyu.
Over countless ages, this world had suffered endless assaults from alternating ice and fire there were no planets or stars left.
Now, Lin Moyu drifted in a void, surrounded only by shifting ice and fire an endless, mournful song echoing the fate of the world itself.
Suddenly, he focused a black dot lay ahead.
Ice and fire obscured his vision until he was just ten thousand meters away, then he saw the black figure:
A person, clothes in tatters, clutching a broken sword
And horns on his head, clearly not human.
"An old expedition team member?" Lin Moyu wondered.
Just as he had that thought, the figure moved blade flashing like lightning, erupting in front of him...
