Chapter 4540: It's Just That My Strength Isn't Enough
Lin Moyu said, "I saw a familiar face."
He did not mention the system; this was his deepest secret, something he would never tell anyone.
"Impossible!" The Primal Gem jumped up in shock, all its metaphorical fur standing on end. "That's impossible. There can be no living being in the Forbidden Zone of Life."
Its reaction was so intense, it was clear that what it had seen and heard in the Forbidden Zone had become a fixed belief.
Lin Moyu knew that his comment contradicted the Primal Gem's worldview, which was why it reacted so fiercely.
Not only the Primal Gem, but seeing the system affected Lin Moyu deeply. He simply didn't show it so obviously.
"I never said it was a living being."
"Since you could survive there, why couldn't someone else? The Forbidden Zone is so vast; even if you spent countless years there, could you really see every corner?"
"And you don't even know how you entered. Isn't it possible someone entered after you left?"
Lin Moyu's words made the Primal Gem freeze on the spot.
Right Lin Moyu just said he saw an acquaintance, not necessarily a living being.
The Primal Gem quickly calmed down, "Master is correct. Maybe someone, like me, can survive in the Forbidden Zone."
It said this, but clearly didn't fully believe it.
Lin Moyu suddenly thought, "Were you thinking you were the only one? That no one else could survive there?"
The Primal Gem replied, "I never said that."
Although it didn't say so, that's what it thought. Lin Moyu didn't argue further.
The Primal Gem had its fixed perceptions, while Lin Moyu was certain he had seen the system.
What the system really was, whether or not it was a living thing, it was at least the same type of being as the Primal Gem or perhaps something even higher.
As for the so called Forbidden Zone, Lin Moyu didn't entirely agree with that definition.
In his own view, the so called Forbidden Zone was just a matter of lacking strength.
It was like when he had been weaker, some dangerous secret realms would have meant certain death for him, and some lands were forbidden zones for him, entering would've been death.
But now, for places he once feared, it was like a walk in his own garden.
Threats of the past, for him now, had become as gentle as a spring breeze.
So, the Primal Gem's forbidden zone was for him simply a place he wasn't yet strong enough for.
"One day, I'll set foot inside and find the system. I'll get answers directly."
The space time passage carried him onward, where he gradually sensed a familiar aura up ahead the aura of the Chaos Wilderness. He had returned home.
Inside the soul world, the three who had been hiding for so long were now lively again. During their time in the world remains, they'd almost lost their powers to fight.
That powerlessness oppressed them; the threat of death forced them to hide.
Over reliance on Dao rules is a common flaw of strong beings. In their own worlds, they may be very strong, but as soon as they leave, their strength is less than a tenth.
Back in ancient times, teams trained by supremes to search world remains focused on nurturing their soul and body, not relying on Daos.
In Lin Moyu's view, such strength was foundational this was the proper way to walk through all worlds.
As the passage neared its end, the Calamity Scepter was stowed away it was better to keep a low profile in the chaos.
The newly lively Xiao Peng flew out and resumed his job as Lin Moyu's mount.
"Father, what was in that other place?"
When Lin Moyu sealed the soul world, the others were unaware of his experiences or the conversation with the Primal Gem.
Lin Moyu smiled, "There were some benefits in that world. I gained some life experience."
Xiao Peng just nodded, not thinking too much about Lin Moyu's words. "At least we're back. That place was far too dangerous."
Lin Moyu agreed. "It was dangerous, but it's still a place worth returning to when the chance comes."
Little Tree spoke up, "Master, there's still another one."
There was one more openly dangerous world remain. Lin Moyu hesitated, "Let's go later."
It wasn't that he didn't want to, but the gems on the Calamity Scepter were still digesting the gains.
If they went now, it would be a waste.
There weren't many world remains left to find, so they had to conserve resources.
With the imprint of the Wall of Heaven and Earth, Lin Moyu could return anytime.
The Primal Gem said it could be used only once, but Lin Moyu could always trick it into making him a new one.
He could also study the imprint and maybe replicate it himself, and then not trouble the Primal Gem at all.
The passage reached its end; Lin Moyu's brow furrowed. "Be careful."
At the very moment they emerged, an overwhelming aura assaulted them attacks swarmed in a dense barrage.
Without even seeing clearly, Xiao Peng turned into a golden light and fled far away, immediately escaping the attacks' range.
Along the way, many attacks struck but were smashed by Xiao Peng's momentum.
The golden light didn't just show speed; it was a shield for Xiao Peng.
The attacks were dense but weak, only at early Chaos Realm at best the strikes meant nothing to Xiao Peng.
Sight returning, Xiao Peng was surprised. "...This isn't the South Pole."
The environment was nothing like the South Pole no bitter cold.
Lin Moyu replied, "We must be near the South Pole."
He'd been to the East, West, and North Poles, just never the South.
The environment here was unfamiliar and unlike the other poles, so it had to be the South. And before he left, only the South Pole had actually gone to war with the Central Region.
After returning from that world remain, they hadn't just entered the South Pole they'd dropped right into a battlefield.
Xiao Peng asked, "What should we do?"
Lin Moyu surveyed the battle and gave a soft "Hm?" Then smiled, "What a coincidence."
Xiao Peng said, "Father, did you see an old friend?"
Lin Moyu looked at the battlefield, "I did. Been a long time let's go say hello."
On the battlefield, Zhu Long was putting on a display of power, fighting against several others.
Not seen for years, Zhu Long had now reached early Chaos Realm and had walked very far along that road.
From Lin Moyu's perspective, Zhu Long wasn't far from mastering the stage.
That Zhu Long had advanced so quickly was likely related to the old man in the green robe Lin Moyu knew that after breaking free, Zhu Long had become the old man's subordinate.
Servants of a Supreme always received some privileges.
But Zhu Long's situation wasn't good right now several other early Chaos Realm experts were ganging up on him.
Individually, they were weaker, but together they could match him.
Zhu Long had tried repeatedly to break through, but each time failed. It wasn't critical yet, but if the fight went on, things could get ugly.
Lin Moyu believed Zhu Long must have some trump card no servant of a Supreme would die so easily.
A flash of golden light and three of Zhu Long's attackers lost their heads in an instant, killed on the spot.
