Chapter 4531: For the Sake of You Being My Master
What happened to Lin Moyu completely overturned the Primal Gem's understanding.
The reason for its arrogance was thinking itself omniscient, understanding the fundamental laws and history of all heavens and earth.
But the heaven and earth owned by Lin Moyu shattered that conceit.
Lin Moyu said, "So is there any way to make my heaven and earth a living heaven?"
"No way!" The Primal Gem denied flatly, not a single method.
Lin Moyu sighed, "Even you can't do it. Seems it can't be done after all. I always thought the Calamity Scepter was omnipotent."
The Primal Gem's face darkened, feeling insulted: "What do you mean I can't? If you were a supreme, of course you could break the wall.
Lin Moyu said, "But if I became a supreme, why would I still want these primordial materials? Wouldn't I have my own heaven and earth by then?"
The Primal Gem was momentarily at a loss a taste of its own logic turned against itself.
Lin Moyu continued, "So there really is no way. Those heaven and earth materials can only be looked at and never acquired. Pity, I once believed that as long as you were present, nothing was unbreakable.
"Forget it. Consider this trip wasted."
Lin Moyu watched the heaven and earth materials inside the barrier, disappointment all over his face, not just at his own loss, but also at the Calamity Scepter.
As the Primal Gem saw Lin Moyu's expression, it looked as if it had lost face too and suddenly said, "If you actually get a piece of heaven and earth material, it's not entirely impossible."
Lin Moyu's heart leapt, but his face remained calm. "Even if it's possible, it sounds difficult."
The Primal Gem replied, "It is difficult, but you can try. First, you need to go to the Ancient Wilderness to find the Ancient Wilderness Rot Spirit.
"Chaos and the wilderness are two sides of the same heaven and earth chaos is yang, the wilderness is yin. The Ancient Wilderness Rot Spirit is the ultimate corruptive force of this heaven and earth. It can't break the wall, but it can soften it.
"Once the wall is softened, I'll try to make a tiny hole, then you send primordial energy inside."
"With luck, your primordial energy will resonate with the world wall and it'll actively send some heaven and earth materials into your world.
"That is the only method worth trying. Nowadays, with all other heavens perished, only this one remains, and after delivering the last wave of materials, the wall has sealed itself, never to give again.
"Whether it can be awakened depends on your luck."
"But the Ancient Wilderness Rot Spirit isn't easy to find and the process is dangerous, so be careful."
Lin Moyu asked, "What does the Rot Spirit look like?"
The Primal Gem then detailed the nature of the Ancient Wilderness Rot Spirit:
It has no fixed form; its true name is Rot Spirit, but it's called Ancient Wilderness Rot Spirit because it was born in the Ancient Wilderness. In other heavens, it'd have another name.
The Rot Spirit is similar to a primordial material, the ultimate force of decay in a heaven and earth capable of corroding anything inside, including artifacts, souls, and more.
Unlike the Heaven Earth Jellyfish, which dissolves by destroying structure (while also bearing a trace of life and being able to nurture living things), the Rot Spirit is pure death, no trace of life at all.
Even a supreme could perish if infected by Rot Spirit unless they surpass the heaven and earth, they can't resist it.
Yet even such a terrifying thing can only soften the wall, needing the Calamity Scepter's help to make a pinhole.
With the method revealed, Lin Moyu resolved to set out for the Ancient Wilderness to seek the Rot Spirit.
Since he remained within this heaven and earth, he trusted he could find it, because he possessed the Causal Ring.
The Primal Gem said, "Since you are my master, I'll help you again."
At those proud words, the Primal Gem glowed, and the Realm Gem began to shine too.
The Primal Gem manipulated the Realm Gem's power, forming two sigils one flew into Lin Moyu's hand, the other lodged in the wall of the world.
"With this sigil, wherever you are, you can open a passage to this place but only once, so use it wisely.
"And when you leave this place, you'll be teleported to a random part of the world. Your destination depends on luck. Good luck."
Despite being Lin Moyu's artifact, the Primal Gem spoke and acted with arrogance, but Lin Moyu didn't mind: as long as the thing listened and stayed in his control, he had no complaints.
Lin Moyu gave one last regretful look at the abundant, tempting heaven and earth materials behind the barrier before leaving.
But he knew he couldn't obtain them now he could only follow the Primal Gem's method to seize even a sliver of hope for making his heaven living.
He vaguely sensed that once his world became living, he himself would benefit immensely.
At the very least, when facing the Dao, even if overpowered, he'd at least have a way of escape his safety would rise dramatically, giving him a built in fallback before battle. (Just as he'd always prepared before any fight, he put his wives in storage space, so if he died, they'd survive.)
Lin Moyu flew toward the exit: a space time tunnel leading to an unknown destination.
Just as he neared the exit, Little Tree suddenly called, "Master, wait!"
Lin Moyu stopped. "What is it?"
Little Tree said, "I sense many remnants of space time tunnels here."
Lin Moyu realized what this meant: "Perhaps many heavens existed in the past, and these are traces left by their supremes."
He did not know how many heavens there were only that, as the Primal Gem said, "many."
In some, supremes had emerged and reached this place, leaving space time tunnels as they did.
Those supremes must have coveted the materials behind the world wall, but none ever succeeded.
There were only two ways to enter this place: pass through a door left in the wall either with a key or by brute force after becoming a supreme.
Most supremes burst through by force they were powerful, proud, and had their own ways of doing things.
As for legends in chaos, that coming here brought great fortune Lin Moyu alone knew the truth: there was no treasure here.
If there was any value, it was merely to gain insight to glimpse the primal materials and then drool over them.
Little Tree said, "I wonder can these space time tunnels be restored?"
Restore the tunnels?
Lin Moyu was surprised this was a bold idea.
If the tunnels could be restored, could that mean traveling to other heavens?
But those heavens no longer existed where would the tunnels go? And what dangers might lie ahead?
Lin Moyu said, "Try it. I'll ask the Primal Gem."
